My favorite year of the sixties for music was 1960, although my #1 song of the decade was "Six Days on the Road" by Dave Dudley (1963).
Bach, Georg Händel, Alessandro Scarlatti, Gerhard Tersteegen and Antonio Vivaldi were all making the scene--it was a rockin' good year.
Loved ‘80’s music, probably because it was the most carefree time of my life. Graduated in ‘81, opened a bike shop in ‘82 (spent the first 8 year of my adult life as my own boss), and in the DC area we had WHFS which played all the new wave, punk and obscure tunes. Listened 8 hours a day and you wouldn’t hear the same song twice in three days. They’d get artists in for interviews. Screamin’ Jay Hawkins made me authentic so hard I nearly fell over. It was a carefree time for me.
Authentic? Laugh.. I’ve got the spellchecker from hell.
