Many financial and law firms including the one I work for require in officer 3 out of 5 days a week. It’s not just the 100% WFH who are impacting the numbers. Interestingly enough the PATH and the MTA 4/5 are very crowded with only Fridays seeing a noticeable drop off.

I occasionally ride Metro North from Connecticut to Grand Central. Before the panic I'd find the lot at Old Greenwich about half full (at about 10AM) and the trains about 25% full. Last April the lot was almost empty as were the trains.

Granted it's not at rush hour but all trips inbound were at about 10AM on a weekday.
