The old story (Reagan?) about the guy that would leave East Berlin with a wheelbarrow full of stuff and go to W. Berlin each day. The guard would go through the contents and never find any contraband.
One day the wheelbarrow guy leaves, and yells back to the guard “Hey - it’s my last day of work and I’m retiring. You never figured out what I was smuggling! It was the wheelbarrows!”
Probably never notice.
Nope.
By this I mean they won’t give you notice.
You might get a notice on the tax deed sale though.
Everybody likes a sale!
It’s almost like saving money
Almost
The property tax if it should exist at all should be fixed at the value of the house when bought and not a increase value that the city decides it is worth.
Same for credit cards. They keep raising the rates from the agreed upon rate. I looked at a statement for a Chase card from 2+ years ago. The rate was 11.24% and today it is 24.24%. There has been zero balance on it for those 2+ years.
If the market crashes and home prices plummet, they won’t be able to refinance.
