Can’t afford it anymore. I got a green chile double a few weeks ago, and the sandwich alone was just over $8 including tax. I’m done.
“Wife and I were forced to stop at a McDonald’s the other day. The crispy chicken sandwich, which the photo shows the chicken over extending the bun, was closer to the diameter of a pickle. If I had the time and inclination I’d post that joke to the internet.”
What joke? (now you have to...lol)
*yuck* The burgers taste like barf. I mean that literally, like acidic barf.
When family and friends from up north come down to visit me here in the Florida panhandle they always insist on having at least one What-a-burger meal before heading back home.
The service at the one on Miracle Strip has been a disappointment lately—good help is hard to find and all that.
Looks like I picked the wrong time to quit eating fatty foods.
In-n-Out
You must have gotten a bad burger.
They are great. Never had a bad one. Not like the cardboard burgers from Mickey D’s and Booger King..............
We don’t have one............
On June 14, 2019, the Dobson family sold its majority stake in the company to BDT Capital, a Chicago-based investment company. The companies cited long term expansion plans as one reason for the sale. Much of the current leadership will remain, but they will take on new roles within the company. Ed Nelson, currently serving as chief financial officer and controller, was promoted to president.[7] The company said that Whataburger’s headquarters will remain in San Antonio.
Yes, I remember when that happened.

It took them a long time to remove the ‘A Family owned business’ sign.....................
Those were some good threads.
Booger King went from really flame broiling their burgers nice and fresh to boil-in-the-bag garbage they slather a little liquid smoke on. I used to love BK, but in recent years I quit going.
We stay on Okaloosa Island, and try to eat as close to there as possible. Of course, I could go to Stewby's just about every day!
We have a small local chain here, TOPS Burgers, that still serves the good old fashioned greasy juicy burgers of yesteryear. Always a line around the drive thru. No inside dining, just walk-up window or drive thru window..............
Over-Rated
Stewby’s is great! Not every day but darn good!
