Agreed, other than that too big rear tire, it looks like a motorcycle and would feel like one. Not a two wheeled dump truck. Always thought the 1965 XLCH was the epitome of Sportsters. This one was interesting except for price:

Yep...Not really a long distance road trip bike, but real nice for local cruising. I’ve had the Shovels, ‘41 80” Flathead etc...But now I’m a bit older I just love Sportsters...Lighter, smaller etc....And they look so cool...IMO..

Reminds me of the day I had a huuuge laugh over a new ‘lite’ beer. I was stocking the beer and beverage section of a grocery store. Back in the day there was Olympia Beer. I tried it once, only. It was the weakest beverage, alcohol or not, I had ever tried. This evening Olympia Beer had shipped their new Olympia Lite beer. As I discovered it, I began laughing, probably too loud, and the boss came over to see what was going on. I was still laughing and could not completely explain the joke. I pointed at the new product. The boss understood, and walked away with a chuckle.
