Great study—based on 18 people in a completely artificial situation.
And I’ve never heard that beer goggles influence views on attractiveness, just on whether a drunk guy at tje end of an evening at a bar would try to go home with (”hit”) it at the end of a night with no better options available.
All it could do was decrease my standards, not make them look better...
Alcohol boosts men’s confidence enough for them to approach women they don’t mind looking like a drunken fool with, but not enough to risk approaching women they think are out of their league. Hence, “beer goggles.”

My thought is that Bill and Hillary were attracted by each recognizing the criminal minds in each other. “Put us together and we can do better than the Mafia!”

I am pretty sure she latched on to him like a hungry octopus, and never let go. What other coattails to power and the ability to **** over anyone she wanted, or have them killed, was she ever going to find. She let Bill screw around as much as he liked, facilitated it, and probably even recruited for him. A symbiotic relationship from Hell.

The guys still KNOW what is attractive, but they are drunk so willing to go down a few notches to not go home alone.
The way it always worked in my youth was the five levels of inebriation:
1.). witty
2.). charming
3.). intelligent
4.) Invisible
5.) BULLET PROOF
You can’t drink em skinny, 100% fact.
Not to mention that getting drunk and looking at pictures is a lame study. Very different than real life in the bar.
