It is an industry for the left.
Manhattan Contrarian ping.
and don’t forget preventing anyone else from solving the problem.
Absolutely true. The goal of homeless advocacy is the creation of victims...not their rescue.
That’s why the Brandon regime is importing so many homeless freeloader voters.
The Left aren’t about solving problems. They are only about making an issue of the problem, often where none exists.
Solutions to problems would wreck their gravy trains.
true concept for most of what government does. It’s all a scam.
Look at Arab Israeli relations. Going on for decades. Untold amounts of money spent. But was anything concrete ever done about it ? Never. Until Trump came along and normalized relations between Israel and several Arab countries.
Not mentioned was the crime and drug use, predictable unintended consequences of a progressive homeless policy, that has sent SF into a doom loop. Maybe the tide will turn against the homeless industrial complex in favor of clean streets. Nah.
And a jobs program ,,, where else can a guy with a degree in navel gazing get a high paying job?
Well .... ? There are only so many slots open in academia for professors ... to teach navel gazing ... but the homeless industry is booming.
I noticed MANY of the providers who work in the system always like to tell their story of when they were homeless.
Self perpetrating ... and subsidized.
An industry that produces homeless folks and Providers ... all feed and clothed by me and you.
.... spit .... compassionate my @$$
It is an industry for the left.
Anybody remember the self-serving movie Martin Sheen did many years ago about Homeless Advocate Mitch Synder? Sheen made him out to be a Saint but the truth was even worse, he was a fraud and scam artist.
So where is Martin Sheen on this, is downtown in San Francisco helping donating or just chilling in his nice home in Beverly Hills?
There is a lot of money in poverty.
All programs designed by the left and funded by the taxpayer are created to give cushy jobs to friends and relatives and to funnel some of the money back into democrat coffers.
They tell YOU it’s designed to help whatever ails you.
That is true, and along with the money leeches benefitting thereof the homeless population is serving a purpose for the planned growing collapse of the country.
But there will come a time when that same population is considered among the most expendable to those same planners.

The issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution. If socialism isn't solving the problem, then something has to be done to make sure either that socialism solves the problem, or that the problem is not allowed to exist--remember how homelessness was always an issue with Reagan, never an issue with Clinton, always an issue with Bush, never an issue with Obama, and always an issue with Trump.
And for far too much of our medical-congressional-industrial complex” as well.
I met a young man who was homeless in Louisville. He went to a couple shelters on very cold night. Each told him they were full, and he couldn’t stay. He begged to sleep on the floor in the entrance, or anywhere inside. Still no. He said he realized then that homeless advocates are a racket.
