“To me the trip was incidental and after the defender was falling down as was the blocker.”

Defender was not falling down. The Jet guy was running downfield to block another defender when he trip the dude.

No trip and that defender would have made the tackle.

The “trip”also occurred way downfield and the Jets would have been close to field goal range anyway.

Buffalo wasn't going to score anyway, their offense was hot garbage in the second half.

My apologies. I didn’t realize how fragile your emotions are. You are obviously distraught over your team losing. It hurts, I know. But don’t worry. Tomorrow is another day and another opportunity to not be a loser.

Mot the way I saw it. The blocker was horizontal with his back to the coming defender who was clearly in a thrust forward motion. Could have easily missed the returner.

He tripped over the horizontal guy’s leg. It wasn’t an intentional trip. The Ref was right there.

15 yards from that spot, if called, would have been a first down around the 25.

We just see it different. I don’t think that would have kept the Jets from winning.

Besides, I’m too busy watching the Titans suck. LOL

The block WAS intentional. Jets #55 was looking AND moving toward the #85. Just as he went to throw the block 85 pulled up to miss the block resulting in #55 blocking below the waist.

ARTICLE 4. BLOCKING BELOW THE WAIST ON KICKS AND CHANGES OF POSSESSION
Blocks below the waist are prohibited in the following situations:

By players of either team after a change of possession; or
By players of the kicking team after a Free Kick, Safety Kick, Fair-Catch Kick, Punt, Field-Goal Attempt, or Try Kick; or
By players of the receiving team during a down in which there is a Free Kick, Safety Kick, Fair-Catch Kick, Punt, Field- Goal Attempt, or Try Kick.
