I grew up with these guys (yep, personally knew them) during my early teen years, My sister dated one of them in the early 80’s. They were a very fun band to hang out with. I still have all their albums on both vinyl and cd.

My college roommate from Baltimore was a big fan of theirs back in the 80s. All he ever played was Kix and Crack The Sky.

“ still listen to classic rock radio online, and I’ve never heard any station play anything by Kix.”
They aren’t really classic per say more like 80’s Hair
Hard rock heaven plays them quiet often online day after day

I said Quisp not Quest.
I know. My big brother Johnny was a Quisp fan. No "h" in Jonny Quest, either. We had to have two different boxes of cereal. I hated that twerpy alien. The original Quake (not the Australian revamp) was the best. Quangaroos were especially nasty.

Jammed out to Kix plenty of times in the 90’s!

Just an attempt at humor. Quangaroos eh? Haven’t had the pleasure. Figures the Aussies would come up with something like that though they did run with the Falcon for a while. Nice car. Wouldn’t mind coming across one of those old classic muscle cars.

Quangaroos were the result of Quake losing the rigged election contest (I sent in my votes for Quake, of course). Mothers were complaining that Quake was too menacing as an earth-moving muscle man who resorted to violence first while sounding like William Conrad. So, they put him in a new and improved machine to make him a less menacing trimmed Aussie Cowboy. When they killed the cereal, they kept the character for a while, by giving him an obnoxious orange kangaroo sidekick. Quangaroos was an orange flavored cereal. Worst thing this side of Sir Grapefellow.
