I could be. I’m thinking of Newt, and how the media was able to make a clown show of him, and it wasn’t just the media doing it, it was Newt often giving them the material (like sitting on the couch with Pelosi and bitching about being in the back of the airplane, and probably a lot more that I don’t remember).
Newt was very effective in his job, as the House voted conservative, but for many, that’s not all they saw.
With Jordan, I feared that possibility, and the problem with it is that it causes some on our side, the ‘emotional types’, like Liz Cheney, to lose their minds, when they had been a safe conservative vote in the past.
A fantastic book is “Reagan in His Own Hand”. Reagan write a lot of his own stuff. He was one of the first people in the country to wear contact lenses. When giving a speech Reagan would pop out one contact so he could read with one eye and look at the audience with the other eye.
