There is a definite relationship between marijuana and mental illness and doctors and authorities have been aware of it for years. It is the mental illness that wrecks relationships. Remember when people used to laugh about paranoia caused by marijuana, well paranoia is a type of schizophrenia and it is no joke.
It isn’t just a relationship between marijuana and mental illness, it is also connected to violence. The parents around here used to say that they would rather have their kids high on marijuana than drunk on beer. Then they were surprised when the kid ended up a heroin addict.
My son knew five kids who were arrested for cross border marijuana smuggling. One of them served time in a federal prison and his parents, who were teachers at the school, were named unindicted co-conspirators.
Remember that the first thing that George Soros did when he went into a country was to mobilize the college students to protest for legalized abortion and marijuana. Abortion destroys the families and marijuana just plain makes you stupid. It degrades your ability for rational thought. Seriously, it lowers the IQ.

Marijuana doesn’t make the user stupid. When high, one’s thinking isn’t clear, plus it’s very hard to concentrate. But pot doesn’t subtract points from a user’s IQ.
Regular Marijuana use actually lowers the IQ several points and causes a susceptibility to schizophrenia. Remember how people used to say that marijuana made them feel paranoid/ well, it may not have been joke. Paranoia is a type of schizophrenia. Anyway scientists now say that there is a definite connection to violence.
