Well “the black flag of the Mahdi” in the prophecies is pretty non-specific. So just about any radical Muslim group that wants to start a global jihad hoists a black flag, in an attempt to be seen as the ones who will fulfill the prophecy. Iran, Hamas, ISIS, Al Qaeda, they all had some version of a black flag to wave around.
Yes, the fact that their prophecies are like a mirror image to the Christian ones is one thing that gives me pause and makes me seriously consider if Islam is not one of the major players in the end times. Well, that, and the fact that the tribulation saints are specifically said to be beheaded for their testimony. Aren’t too many groups left on the planet that favor beheadings.
