Are you sure it’s Woke? When ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ came out, FR critics immediately denounced it as Woke, without having seen the movie. Talked about minority female pilots outflying males, etc. Took about 3 weeks before enough Freepers had seen the movie to set the record straight.
Haven’t seen many people citing woke examples in ‘Flowers’, mainly people saying that it’s too long.
Stallone played the gangster in exile role in Tulsa King better. Don’t think he even tried an Okie accent.

The only 3 1/2 hour movies that I’ve enjoyed were about World War II, where America kicked ass and loads of Nazis got killed. I liked Scorcese, but I could tell that this was going to be a white guilt, woke fest from the start. Pass. And not only will I not pay to see it a theatre, I won’t watch it on Apple either.

DeNiro’s behavior and loud mouth hate has made it impossible for me to watch anything he is in. He may be a good actor but I do not like him.
I enjoyed this when it came to Sacramento in the 80s. So long they gave us a 2 hour intermission so we could eat dinner. Sepia battle scenes with tri-screen takes him from childhood to death.

He peaked in Godfather 2 and has had 2-3 good gangster movies other than that he sucks. Deer Hunter, ok. They role him out whenever they need a goombah.
