The article refers to Cuban as the team's "governor" as opposed to the owner, which is what he is. Amazing how firmly wokeness has entrenched itself that the term "owner" is considered "problematic" (at least since 2020).

If people cannot draw a distinction between owning a business entity or a franchise and the suggestion that an owner of the team "owns" individuals, then we have gone completely off the rails.

Never thought Cuban would give up the Mavericks.

Cuban still maintains a minority ownership stake and will continue to run the basketball operations of the franchise.
