NATO Foreign Ministers have convened in Brussels to discuss regional security. Finland closes its two remaining border crossings with Russia for two weeks. The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has been extended by two days and more hostages have been released.
10 people have died and 23 have been hospitalized after icy storms hit Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities have confirmed that the wife of the head of Ukrainian intelligence has been poisoned with heavy metals.

Fighting in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Sentsov joined the Territorial Defense Forces of Kyiv, which is a part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.[66] He called on the international film community to boycott Russian cinema.[67] Sentsov took part in the Battle of Kyiv, using an NLAW to destroy Russian tanks.[68] Sentsov claims he takes part in the war to “return the Ukrainian flag to Crimea.”[66]
After the Kyiv offensive ended Sentsov took part in battles at Bakhmut, Balakliia and Kupiansk. As of July 2023, he is an infantry second lieutenant (given this rank in June 2023 in 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, fighting on the Zaporizhzhia front during the 2023 Ukrainian counteroffensive, where he was lightly wounded during offensive operations. On 23 November 2023 Sentsov posted a video on Facebook showing him taking part in the Battle of Avdiivka.

Female Ukrainian battle medic fights Russians and saves lives in brutal trench warfare. Intense first-person footage revealed the brutal reality of trench-fighting in Ukraine. The video was taken by a female solider of the 47th Brigade fighting in Avdiivka. Troops can be seen fighting near a trench as bullets whistle overhead. Heavy machine gun fire tears through trees and grenades are hurled above ground. The fighting continues under the cover of the dark until dawn. Because the trench is so narrow, they’re forced to fight in a long single-file line. Russian soldiers attack with shells and heavy artillery injuring some squad members.
The female soldier uses tuff-cut scissors and medication to patch-up wounded troops. An incoming tank opens fire on their trench and the squad are forced to retreat. Hoping not to be spotted by the Russians, they lay low and hide in their trench.
As the tank approaches, the wounded soldier hands over an anti-tank missile, then a panic breaks out and the squad brace themselves for impact. Luckily, the Russians don’t see them and continue roaming the battlefield. A few moments later, they look overhead to make sure the coast is clear. The female soldier helps her comrade to safety, and they run through the forest.
Russian bullets fall around them as they jump into an armored vehicle. Under heavy attack, bullets ping off the vehicle as they make their escape. They arrive at medical facility, where the man receives urgent treatment. A narrow escape for the squad, they look relieved.

A “Storm of the Century” has hit the Black Sea with high winds and white out blizzard conditions as huge storm surges hammered Crimea and the Russian coastline. November is not over yet and this is already going to be Russia’s mostly deadly and costly month of the war as Putin continues his failed meat assaults to take the city of Avdiivka. Back in the United States, both the House and the Senate are stating they will take up debate and vote on additional funding aid for Ukraine.

Day 643: Nov 28
Today, there are a lot of updates from the Avdiivka direction.
Here, after Russian forces moved into the small industrial zone demolished by artillery fire, they ran into numerous problems, such as a lack of shelters, absence of reconnaissance due to extremely powerful Ukrainian electronic warfare in the region, and constant Ukrainian counterattacks from all sides.
Previously, Russian sources reported that Russian forces breached the Ukrainian defense in the small industrial zone and established total control over it. Interestingly, today, some Russian sources acknowledged the presence of Ukrainian troops in the area and claimed that Ukrainians continue holding several strongpoints and resisting the Russian attacks. Ukrainian sources released footage showing the defense of one such strongpoint. Ukrainian fighters from the One-hundred-tenth Mechanized Brigade posted a video showing how they conduct artillery strikes on Russian forces in the industrial zone.
As you can also notice from the footage, persistent artillery fire turned the industrial zone into ruins. Given that there is virtually no cover, Russians need to use armor to push forward. However, as stated by Ukrainian Avdiivka Military Administration Head Vitaliy Barabash, Russian forces are actually struggling to use a large amount of military equipment due to weather conditions. Later, Ukrainian Tavriisk Group of Forces Spokesman Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun confirmed that Russian forces had reduced the number of armored vehicles operating in the Avdiivka direction and instead increased the number of pure infantry attacks.
Such attacks already led to significant losses. A Russian fighter filmed a video showing that the roads have turned into mud and became unsuitable for heavy equipment and also showed numerous fallen Russian soldiers on the side of the road. Ukrainian General Tarnaskyi reported that in the aftermath of pure infantry attacks in Avdiivka with no armor and drones, Russians incurred 514 losses in one day.
In fact, the inability to use drones in the region became one of the biggest Russian problems. As it turned out, Ukrainians have a very dense coverage of electronic warfare systems that do not allow Russian drones to even reach the industrial zone, let alone Ukrainian positions around it. Apart from powerful stationary electronic warfare systems, Ukrainians also use man-portable ones to hunt down Russian drones in the peripheral areas or areas behind small hills where the stationary systems can’t reach. As shown in the videos, Ukrainians have acquired many trophies, including kamikaze drones.
Ukrainians also published footage recorded by the captured Russian drones. The videos show precisely how Ukrainian electronic warfare influences Russian drones. As you can see, the moment the Russian drone entered the region, the transmission of the picture is either interrupted or completely suppressed. If the drone reaches the area with more powerful signals, electronic warfare hijacks the drone and forces it to land on the ground. In the case of anti-drone guns, the drone can be landed more carefully and preserved for later use.
In light of such developments, namely, bad weather that does not allow the use of heavy armor and electronic warfare systems that do not allow the use of drones, Russian analysts became even more pessimistic about the prospects of the Russian bridgehead.
Russian sources started claiming that capturing this industrial area would not make further offensive operations easier for Russian forces, as Russian forces would need to develop offensives on Avdiivka’s other flanks or mobilize more personnel to achieve rapid and decisive results. Russian analysts concluded that Russian advances over the past week do not immediately threaten Ukrainian forces and largely do not affect Russian efforts to capture Avdiivka but simply extend the frontline.
Overall, the Ukrainian command made the right decision to withdraw from most parts of the demolished industrial area. Given the absence of reasonable shelters on the territory of the plant in the aftermath of devastating artillery fire that turned everything into rubble, and also bad weather and Ukrainian electronic warfare superiority, Ukrainians managed to create a perfect kill zone for the Russian forces, which is confirmed by the lack of enthusiasm of Russian analysts to continue offensive in this direction.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin called on Russian women to give birth to 8 children each to overcome the demographic crisis.
He said this during a speech at the plenary session of the World Russian People’s Council. He spoke via video link, Censor.NET reports.
According to the dictator, it is impossible to solve the “catastrophic demographic problems” with money, benefits, social payments and assistance alone. According to him, having many children should become the norm, a way of life for all the peoples of Russia.
