“...despite data suggesting [the economy] in a strong position”

Author Cork Gaines has been listening to FJB gaslighting way too much.

I went to al local Italian restaurant for lunch yesterday with 4 friends. We all ordered a veal dish which came with a side salad or pasta and unlimited bread basket. Each entree was $15.00. A whole lot tastier than a Big Mac.

Eggs are up again and the price of laundry detergent is through the roof.

I can do without Big Macs, but the essentials are not optional.

According to the Inflation Calculator, $0.52 in 1965 would be $5.08 today.

McDonalds doesn't offer a hamburger meal anymore, but a regular burger, small fries, and a small milkshake comes to $7.87 when purchased ala carte.

Cursory review of the internet shows that 52 cents in 1965 corresponds to $5.08 today.

It sounds like McDonald’s prices have gone up adjusted for inflation.

Then again minimum wage increases in many places in America have escalated quite a bit. I’m sure that has impacted pricing.

My son has the McDonalds app and he’s put together deals that result in that meal costing almost exactly what .52 cents has inflated to today. Once or twice slightly less. Ant do it every day though.

I made chicken, red beans and rice with onions, garlic and some cheese. The whole meal with leftovers for two days cost about $12. Great taste (I am a good cook) and economical as well, if you’re eating at Mickey D’s you have money to waste.

“Ain’t Bidenonics wonderful?”

And they’re bragging that the dollar amount spent on Black Friday this year was so much higher than in past years. How could it NOT be? EVERYTHING COSTS MORE. Insane.

.25 for the burger, 15.50 for the kid to cook it. .25 profit for the capitalist pig.

When we were children if you showed up at our local McDonald’s in a Halloween costume you got a free small fries. They were usually 15 cents (I think).

When I was enlisted as soon as I got to my Permanent Party base after 42 weeks of training I was immediately placed on Separate Rations for $82 per month. The Chow Hall started charging us by the item so it was too expensive to eat on base. A local Taco Tico (Wichita, KS) down the street always had 5 for a dollar tacos and two Sanchos for a buck. Ate like kings instead of starving.

Yeah, with the app you can get $1 fries, and you can get some pretty good under $3 combos.

But the killer is the chocolate shake.

The new price point is to cover increased insurance premiums due to store damage sustained during the nightly “teen” brawls.

$0.25 was what the MikeyD burger cost back in the day.

” Sixteen dollars for a burger, large fries, and a drink. It’s just crazy.”

What’s crazy is anyone who would pay that.
