I don’t have the answers but war on poverty created more poverty, war on illiteracy created record illiterates, war on hate has created more hate and the war on drugs has created more drug addicts.
Institutionalizing and monetizing misery is not a civil answer to any problem.

That’s in court. If you were presumed innocent outside of court, why would you ever be arrested for anything? You are considered innocent.

Interesting reads, I’ve read two so far. Thanks for posting. The more I read, the more I am surprised that anyone would want to give Ulbricht a hero’s pass for his actions.

It’s as easy to blame the scumbag drug dealers as it is to blame the guns and both feel great.
It does nothing to solve anything.
Neither does returning dealers to the streets to continue providing them with poison. Just as the war on drugs is worthless, the revolving door is a guarantee to make the problem continue to grow even worse.
I was all into drugs for many years. however, I was smart enough to realize that certain drugs were not things I would allow myself to get hooked on. I tried them all. Hated cocaine, the high was too short, heroin was nice, but continuous imbibing would lead to a real problem of a nasty habit that rules lives, that I was unwilling to allow myself to follow down that path. Many are not capable of restraint I had. To be honest, I'm not sure why I had the restraint.
My favorite drug were hallucinogens.
PCP was one I would avoid purchasing myself, but would imbibe if someone had it.
So, I am not someone who condemns it from afar. I am someone who has personal experience. But sometimes I still miss the tripping substances. 😋 But I won't even go there anymore.
