“Putin can’t save Europe.”

True, I was trying to have some fun with the Globalists here.

What do I have to say?

I laugh that
1. I have a lot of ammunition to use against the people and in-laws who supported Holownia or even worse, PO (thankfully I don’t know anyone who admits to supporting Lewica)

2. Enjoy the cordial atmosphere at the marches for democracy in Warsaw (this was a nice “oh, now the show is on the other foot”)

3. Wonder about whether Konfederacja can get its act together to prove a credible choice with PiS — Bosak and Mentzen are really good, while Korwin-Mikke, Brawn and Berkowicz are idiots imho.

The new government is bad-ISH for us in Poland:
1. It is going to allow Germany to deport migrants (just a note - we have a welcome waiting for them... and I mean that sarcastically) — we have no issue if those are women and children.
2. the “ish” is because I fully expect Tusk to renege on his promises - he already said that the “100 things I will do in the first 100 days” would have to be put on hold and he’s basically done none of them aside from the TVP coup

Let’s be precise though - Tusk is basically in it for himself. Without him, PO was floudnering.

The communists i.e. Lewica - they never quit, yes. One thing that worries me about them is that many are of Jewish heritage (not practicing in the least) and they form a cliche and any criticism of them is turned into anti-semitism, so it is worrying for a pro-Israel person like me

"The Polish People have been betrayed again." -- well, not quite -- the 43% who voted for PiS and Konfederacja knew this was coming

The 14.4% who voted for Trzecia Droga were either blind or too optimistic -- as an aside, Trzecia Droga had a REALLY good set of election planks -- far more "small government" than either PiS or PO. But I didn't vote for them as Holownia is waffling on abortion

The 31% who voted KO and even more the 9% who voted Lewica voted with eyes wide open.

I do see a lot of discontent and minds changed from even the weaker KO voters.

But back to the point - most of us voters here KNEW this was going to happen, we just didn't expect Tusk to reveal his hands so quickly.

Putin IS a bluidy fascist by every definition of the term.

His government is BIG government controlling every aspect of the country with one “big man” leader. Putin’s regime is textbook fascism.

Nope - the support for Ukraine is not wavering and is across party lines with the only murmurings being on the Lewica (communist) side.

Poland knows that if Ukraine had fallen in March 2022, it would have been Poland next.

The support for Ukraine to fight off the Kremlin is still strong - we just wish it were over, but realize that Putin will not stop, he’s already destroyed his country

well, Brian, none of the Poles I’ve met over the past 14 years here, none of them hate Russians.

and I’m not just talking about what they SAY, but when they meet with Russians, even brainwashed Russians (will get back to that later in this reply), the Poles don’t hate them. Quite often they like Russians as individuals, and they pity Russians as a group.

What Poles HATE is Russia’s governmentS - ever since the rise of the Mongol tax-collector, the Duke of Muscowy - ever since then, “Russia” has been taken over by Muscowy, a mongrel half-Mongol, part Finno-Ugric northerner with an East Slavic mother.

Whether under the Rurikids with Ivan Grozny (who murdered boyars and his own son) or the Romanovs (who created the gulags, secret police, etc. etc) or the Soviets - the Poles experience with Muscowy has been bad.

Furthermore, Poland and Muscowy have, since the 17th century - fought over the soul of East and West Slavs. Poland’s position was more republican, while Muscowy’s was Mongol despot.

regarding “brainwashed Russians” - I met some when I was in a Polish language course way back in 2010 - these were young students who didn’t realize that people in central Europe would not know Russians. They were taught (even THEN) that people in the former Soviet bloc
1. Knew Russian
2. Thought Russia had “saved” them from the Nazis

They were never told about the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, nor about the Soviets actions in the Warsaw ghetto, nor about the Russian anti-polish persecution of Poles in the late 1800s-early 1900s.

You have NO CLUE as to what you’re defending. Just the news over the past month in Poland proves that.

Visigrad should be leading Europe back to its glory days before WW1. But It seems that it too is being overcome by the New World Order…😔

...most of us voters here (in Poland) KNEW this was going to happen, we just didn't expect Tusk to reveal his hands so quickly.

As I said, I did Nazi this coming.

I probably should have.

With my comment "The Polish People have been betrayed again", I failed to note that my own train of thought had reminded me of the betrayal of the Polish People in the Nazi False Flag German Radio Station Attack blaming Poland at Gleiwitz.

There was no discussion of this or historical betrayls of the Polish people on the thread, it was all me.

However, I still believe that Tusk has betrayed the Polish People.

I believe your statistics are accurate, and again, I did Nazi this coming.

Poles can, and should determine the destiny of the Polish People.

I’m defending the statement that Putin is a textbook definition of a fascist.

You support Putin?
