There are some vehemently anti-Zionist Orthodox Jews (Neturei Karta,) and some of the most influential Zionists are not religious. Bear in mind that the preponderance of founders of Israel were not merely secular but socialist.
One of the most strident hawks in the Knesset is Avigdor Liberman, who leads a secular nationalist party.
I support Israel defending itself against enemies like Iran but the US has all those military bases across Syria and Iraq blocking Israel from fighting Iran just like we prevented Israel from attacking Iraq when the SCUDS were fired in 1991 and 2003.
Congressman Thomas Massie, who was also subjected to a smear attack lately accusing him of supporting Biden, opposes all foreign aid even to Israel on grounds of kickbacks to defense contractors or ‘corruption’.
I’m not here to be forced into anything I support Israel but I don’t like Big Business corruption and control of the political system.
I’m fed up with it.
What she said is consistent and correct. She opposes ALL ‘foreign aid’, a respectable position to take. “Anti-semitic” is rapidly becoming a worthless BS term, along with “racist”, “sexist”, and “homophobic”.
I guess the morale of the story is to never say you have Jewish friends, or anything like that, as it immediately brands you as anti-Jew.
This is such a knee-jerk reaction on your part and others here. We have two outstanding examples of the types of anti-Semitism as a weapon that Owens is talking about.

Without even reading it (which I did anyway, even with it being from Mediaite) even the basest level of intelligence could see the article for what it is. I found NOTHING offensive in what she said. She spoke the truth. And what she said wasn’t “antisemitic”
Some people, even some on this thread, want to make criticisms of Jewish people a third rail. What that does is encourage Leftists to use their ostensible Jewish religion as a deliberate shield.

Emphasis mine. She has a valid point. Her side appears to be "America First".

I didn’t say that Owens was an anti-Semite. Her comments can be construed as such, but I’ll leave it at that.
Walsh, like any other American, is free to criticize foreign aid in general and id to Israel in specific. Doing so doesn’t make him an anti-Semite.
Anti-Semitism enters the conversation when Jewish affiliations are questioned: Henry Ford and Charles Lindbergh were not the last to cast doubt on Jewish loyalty to America. (And, of course, John Kennedy was deemed suspect due to his supposed adherence to the Pope.)
As I indicated above, President Trump raised military to Israel to historically high levels. You can fairly oppose his position without being an anti-Semite or a RINO.
The story does not match the headline. She is talking about radical liberal Jews using victimhood tactics like the BLM does.
She could have opposed aid to Israel without a pseudo-sociological treatise on American Jews.
But she didn’t.

“America is a country that is trillions dollars in debt. Why on earth are we sending money to a nation that has less debt than us?” she continued, adding: “This is common economic sense. Not antisemitism.”
She presents a coherent argument. It’s a shame it results in stupid, hateful name-calling. That kind of bullying is wrong.
I will simply disagree with Candace. I view Islam as an evil man-made political/religious system. While I see merit in Candace’s argument, I’ll make an exception in this case.
By the way, there are Christians in Africa that are also slaughtered by Muslims. They too are deserving of our attention. I suppose that makes me an antisemite to those who have a hair trigger. At least it doesn’t make me a racist. :)
I hereby cast doubt on the loyalty to America of ANYONE who actively holds and exercises 'dual citizenship" with these Unted Stats and ANY foreign country.
Some people take some Conservative positions because those positions feel right to them, not because a clear grounding in Conservatism led them to that position.
Candace Owens would not be the first one to erroneously use stereotypes of people as valid identifiers of all persons matching a certain demographic. Even a few of Donald Trump’s comments have made that error before.
Just off the top of my head for Trump’s impeachment, the Vindman twins, Sondland, Yavonovitch, Cicilline, Raskin, Nadler, Slotkin, Schiff, Goldman, Engel, Volker and Dan Goldman. The lions share of the effort to impeach Trump was indeed policial Jews. Congressmen, witnesses, democrat lawyers, you name it.
And that doesn’t get into the decades of Bernadine Dorn, the Rosenburgs, Victoria Nuland, Blinken, Bill Kristol, Perle, Wolfowitz, Libby, Frum, Kagan, Abrams, Boot, etc...
Only a blithering idiot uses that reality to dislike the Jewish guy at work, the dentist, or the guy who owns a small business in town. Plenty of Jewish guys fought in our Army in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
But it is willful blindness to not see that the Russian Jews fleeing the USSR in the WWI-1920s era included a large number of Trokstkyists. And yes, they did set up shop and immediately set to work hurting America all they could and enslaving American power and money to supporting their old world grudges. And they have a lot of control. Nixon famously observed this.
Candace is right, and she will get torched, but that’s just the facts. I can love and support my Christian Catholic brethren and still be disgusted with the Pope and his Jesuits and Maryknolls and their homosexuality and liberation theology. But Jews have indeed weaponized the Holocaust as a shield to protect Trotskyites in America from the slightest justified rebukes.
It’s similar to blacks using 1850s slavery to justify anti-white racism and to stop ANY critique of BLM today.
And for the record, I would support Israel wiping out Gaza like it was Tarawa and killing every last one, with maybe a handful of dazed prisoners at the end. After what happened on Oct 7, ANY nation would ne well justified in eradicating that threat with an object lesson for the world.
This entire discussion highlights the dangers of mass immigration. And if you love political Judaism, you’re going to really love political Islam in America. We are seeing it now, but with the millions we have flooded in, our grandkids will be utterly dominated by deranged hateful moslems.

(By the way, my brother-in-law is very liberal, though not a “radical,” and he’s over there right now as a volunteer on a farm near the Golan to cover for conscripts.)
