Petroleum, a.k.a. fossil fuel, is used for much more than burning for power generation. The climate change cultists seem to all have smart phone made from petroleum based plastics and are surrounded by hundreds of goods that could not be produced without petroleum. The cult also fails to understand that food production would be impossible without diesel fuel. If diesel fuel and other “fossil fuels” were banned agricultural would revert to horses and food production would quickly drop to starvation levels. Consider the number of horses that would be needed even for subsistence farming with each horse emitting a cloud of greenhouse gas flatulence.

Leftists cannot be reasoned with because their logical goal is tyranny and they see this as a good thing. When we look at North Korea we see human misery and a population virtually enslaved. When a Democrat looks there he sees a wonderful system where the government has total control of the populace and where politicians can exert their whims over the populace with no resistance.
Leftists cannot be bargained with. First they have nothing but misery to offer. Their best offers boil down to “we want all of your rights, but we’re willing to compromise we’ll just take some of them now and the rest later”. Second they NEVER keep their end of the bargain. You can’t appease them by giving them something. They sooner or later (usually sooner) come back and want the rest.
Leftists will never rest until we are all enslaved, we are killed by their jackbooted thugs, or they are killed.
The left doesn’t forget. They and their media accomplices hope YOU forget. They don’t care the dumb ones are too stupid to do the math and see the physical impossibility of “green energy” because they only know that electricity comes from a socket in the wall. The slightly smarter ones see the problems, but believe the electricity fairy will ride in on a unicorn and magically get all the generation with rainbows (solar) and unicorn farts (wind). And the smart ones see the misery and drastic decline in lifestyle, but they plan to be in the elite group that gets the privileges and makes the hoi poloi serve their whims. For this to have a chance of success the proletariat must be disarmed which is why they are always pushing civilian disarmament. The peasants must be kept under control and not allowed to move about. Hence the insane push for battery electric vehicles. When you see that their goal is a tyranny repressive police state with no freedom for the masses but unlimited power for the self proclaimed elites everything they do makes perfect logical sense.

Energy independence makes the United States more powerful.
Low prices allows business’s to produce more stuff here and not overseas. Low prices puts more money in everyone’s pockets and not the gov’t who you would be less dependent on.
