Pit bulls are known for their volatile personalities and for their viciousness. If a pit bull can be qualified as a “service animal,” then why not a wolf or a hyena?
To: Responsibility2nd
Real service animals are too well trained to make a disturbance.

...why not a wolf or a hyena?I, myself, would prefer an emotional support honey badger.

Emotional support animals are not a thing. What about my emotional support cockroach? Cornelius the cockroach is very important to me.

Is there a reason the store is not known as “Bucky”s”?
To: Responsibility2nd
Sheesh is right...but they’ll both be busy as can be.

Their commercially made jerky is good but not great. I make a much better jerky than you find there because it's really easy to do so. I've read your posts and you have culinary skills you can channel towards making jerky to your particular liking. My marinade recipe is really simple.
I've used cheap $40.00 dollar Walmart dehydrators to my current nine tray Excalibur dehydrator to make some delicious jerky that family and friends would gladly pay me to make for them. I won't do it though. One footnote. I put some in the freezer for a year, took it out and tasted it. Just like I had made it yesterday.
If you're a fan of some excellent beef jerky, make your own

I don’t suppose Buc-ee’s will let me bring my service platypus in there. (sigh…)

Good question. I’ve seen videos and read up on the beginning of Buc-ees. I think the owner bought an old Stuckey’s here in Texas. The rest is history.

Yes. The problem with Buc-ees in New Braunfels is that it can take 10 minutes to get through traffic coming or going.

The last time I went through the one in Bastrop I said never again. And I haven’t.

I recall buying Stuckeys peanut brittle at one of their roadside gift shops in Tiffin, Ohio.

I remember going there. It also isn’t an easy on/easy off location.
Been to the one in Katy? You can see it, but you need a GPS to get there!

There are more than a couple of abandoned Stuckey's location still in existence. I stopped at one on I10 and moseyed around one time.
I find them fascinating.

No, that whole area is off my radar now that I’m retired and don’t have to go there. I will probably go to the one in New Braunfels though one day. I like their homemade potato chips.

I live near Boerne. There’s been one in the works there for years and years.
It’s not yet even begun construction. First they had to widen I-10. Then the residents of Boerne are vehemently opposed to a Buc-ees as it would only add to traffic and congestion.
We shall see.
