Seeds of Love -Tears for Fears, they even said it was an homage to The Beatles. If you listen to the whole song you will a number of distinct Beatle elements.

Nice recognition on that brief turn toward psychedelia around '67 where the Bee Gees and sounded unexpectedly Beatly. They're certainly also top-5 for three part harmony so they've got that going for them, which is nice.

Yeah, but for pure ripoffs of the Beatles you need look no farther than The Buggs, who were rushed into the studio to record unintentionally comical versions of She Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand and a bunch of their own highly derivative tracks for an album called The Beetle Beat, and dumped on store shelves in February of 1964 hoping the rubes wouldn't notice the difference.

So yeah, capitalizing is one thing, but get a load of these "original" tracks:

Mersey Mercy
Liverpool Drag
London Town Swing

I still have the Klaatu album that was supposed to be the Beatles in disguise. I was never a Beatles fan so I’m not qualified to compare, but didn’t sound like the Beatles to me.

“Sowing The Seeds of Love” by Tears For Fears. Late 80’s, very Beatlesque.
