The two answers that make the most sense re: Trump, the spending bill, Johnson.
Pres Trump wants peace in the House heading into the election.
Pres Trump knows Johnson will not lead the House to convict him of insurrection.
He also full well knows that his energy policy is the end of Russian aggression.
As far as funding Ukraine ad infinitum-the Ukrainian bond market is ridiculously inverted=higher than usual risk of default by March 2025. The short term bonds are yielding twsice as much as the long term bonds.
I assume he didn’t vote because it was going to pass anyway. He just might have abstained because Trump asked him to stay out of it, but that’s a pure guess.
The deep state didn’t need to deter his vote.
