I know!! The Bush bashing is disgusting! You wonder who has taken over FR. It's sad to think that at this time of war, any AMERICAN would bash their President. Even if you oppose his views on global warming or some such non-sense. I mean, pick your battles. It's nice to know that our military still loves and trusts Bush. Unlike Rush Limbaugh, who seems to be concerned with getting his name mentioned on the liberal news outlets with his Bush bashing.
I know I'm beating a dead horse with this Rush thing, but I feel like we "Freepers" have been screwed. Think about this. How many of us Freepers have had or have "The Limbaugh Letter, suscribe to 24/7, bought his books, bought a Limbaugh tie, or a Rush T-shirt?" I have. If it weren't for many of us here, Rush wouldn't be as rich as he is. We have supported him, and now he hates our President. WOW! Sad really. We Americans are so spoiled.

This is just a question, and I wonder how the rest of you feel about this. I don't know if you've given money to FR this time around, but do you think we might ask them to treat the Guild with more respect then just "Cheese." If not....................maybe we won't give? I mean, now is the time to let them know how we feel and how important we want to be taken. I think we are a daily, news worthy thread. What do you think? Money talks.

No, I haven't given yet. I don't know what to think about any of this. Most of the time, when I have dared to make a comment about the inappropriateness of a specific thread I get accused of being a spoiled-sport, or frigid or something along those lines. Not by the Admins, mind you, just by the guys on the threads. What's even worse is when a female says it's no big deal.

=( I don't know if holding back donations will make a difference or not. I just know that there seems to be a disparity b/w what the Admins allow in the News forum and what they stick in General Interest.

I would add to the reading list:

Rush and Malloy of the NY Daily News

Jeanette Walls of MSNBC.com

FOX411 with Rodger Friedman.

I love our 'required reading' for the day!

Have the McCartney wedding entrance pics been coming up yet?

Could be a major muscial jam at the reception with Ringo, Paul and David Gilmore.

As you know this is a HUGE gripe of mine. I give monthly because I feel that I take up bandwidth so it's only fair that I contribute.

The Guild has been around since January 2001. We are in the process of applying for tax exempt status as a charity so all our contributions to the Salvation Army during 9-11 and our donations to the USS Roosevelt and USS Kennedy can be tax deductible. As a group I think that we have made the most tangible monitary and investigative contributions than anyone. I don't read all threads but I do think that we are the most organized.

We are a daily thread, but no matter how many requests have been made, we can't get Daily Thread status. Of course there is a catagory for Moose and Cheese, but not for us.

We are NOT chat. I come to The Guild for news and comments, not for fluff and giggles.

I might also add that we have a lot of lurkers. When I was in San Francisco and met a lurker she said that for every one of us, there is at least 100 lurkers. We are popular even though people don't post. During our big drive to donate to the troops, I received email from people who were lurkers but signed up specifically to donate to us. How many times have people contacted me or the forum for our recipes! Do you know how important those threads are around holiday time? Again, more evidence that we are not fluff.

So there is my beef. As Lodwick stated earlier this month, Guilders are the highest contributing group to FR, yet we are stuck in the cheesehole, whereas ' Caption this Photo' and pure fluffy chit chat gets special status in the Big People Forum.

We are activists and we post news. Several of us are actively involved in the GOP as delegates, officials and candidates. We are even planning on meeting during the 2004 GOP Convention. I think it would be great if we could all be in attached rooms at the hotel and just have a huge slumber party. Of course we would never sleep because we would be busy chatting with old, yet recently met friends.

----------------------------------------------------------

AND ANOTHER THING!!!

Posters here look forward to our Oscar, Emmy, Beauty Pageant and political live threads. Can you imagine watching Miss Universe or Miss America alone without your pals to comment on who's butt is too big and who has fake boobs? Life wouldn't be worth living if we couldn't share with our friends.

Ok, I am done. <

Proof that Chelsea has RSVP'ed and will be attending Paul McCartney's wedding. Paul has ordered extra provisions.

Puter woes have slowed my reading here at FR, but I wanted to say GoodDay to everyone, and weigh in on the Fundraiser and NoGuildButton on the FR splash, as well as the BushBashers.

First I believe that anyone who posts anywhere on FR should donate monthly. Bandwidth costs money, and the Robinson family has expenses to meet just like you and I.

Whatever time I have remaining on this earth is way too valuable for me to waste it with idiots and disruptors that find their way to FR - I don't read their drivel, much less reply to it. You probably will have more success at teaching your cat to play the trombone than you will at trying to persuade a dim/lib to our way of thinking.

Not having a GuildButton sucks.
We all need to FReemail John and Jim Robinson and find out what's the prob.

Have a tremendous Tuesday gang. ;-)

The only arrival figure so far is TWIGGY at the Airport. She appears to be braless-just what we need to see - a 60 something woman braless. I presume she will change before the wedding ceremony?

Former model Twiggy arrives at Belfast International Airport en route to Castle Leslie in County Monaghan, Republic of Ireland, June 11, 2002. More than 300 guests were expected to attend the wedding between former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills due to take place at the 17th century castle on Tuesday. Ole Slick is going to have to do some quick travelling to get to the wedding....he was in Dubai this a.m. He will be late probably as he always is.

Good to see that MissTwiggy has found a few cheeseburgers over the past 40-odd years.

White House vandalism tops $20,000. Those Impeached Clinton punks stole Presidential seals, doorknobs, destroyed equipment, you name it. I can't get my Acrobat Reader to work, but there is the link to view the official report.

The report is up on the GAO website. The United States General Accounting Office. Click "GAO reports", "Today's Reports", and June 11, 2002.

They tore into them....hehehe.

That picture of the beer kegs is a hoot. I can picture Chelsea and Bubba swimming in it and slashing around like a pair of pigs in the mud. Poor Paul. I wonder if he knows what he invited? I hope they fumigate the place.

OK, lets drop Jim and John a nice and cival note. We never cause any trouble and we are known around the world. Why can't we be taken more seroiusly?
About the Miss America threads...............hmmm? just not my cup of tea HLL. Sorry :^(

COOL! Yes, I'm a Marine wife of 13 years. Hubby works in the defense industry now. Lots of wonderful things happening with our President, that does not get reported. I thought this would be nice to share.

Billie, thanks for all the wonderful hard work you did for the Guild.
