I am a Registered Republican and have been so since I got out of the Army I have a real problem with the Rats in my State.

I'm strong enough to read posts such as Darth Sidious' without turning to the "dark side..." And I don't mind disagreements. But I feel very uncomfortable with the bannings -except for DU disruptors.

Yep to that as well. There certainly are distinctions between the two factions of the Republicrat Party. And while I personally no longer will support the GOP, I do give strong consideration to individual pubbies based on their position on specific issues. 'Rats, OTOH, are totally off my radar screen and will never, ever receive my vote under any circumstances.

This statement is blatently false. Lizzy may not live up to what you believe a conservative is but she is a team player. As a woman she natually has some different interests and passions but none are comparable to a RAT. This is where you and I live on different planets.

I liken it to the "pit and the pendulum" scenario. If you could choose between a fast blade (Dem) which would kill in ten minutes, and a slow blade which would kill in several hours(Pub), would you not choose the slow blade and hope for rescue or breakdown of the pendulum?
