$8.75 for a ticket? Ouch! I only go to the matinees and pay 4.25. That, combined with low expectations, made it an overall enjoyable experience. It's almost worth the price of a 4.25 ticket just to see how many tired cliche's and lame plot devices they trot out.

They never say...for all we know she starved to death in Data's quarters and wasn't discovered untill the smell of death permeated the crew quarters' corridors! Or maybe she flew around and got killed during the battle. Don't know what she did when Picard called out, "All hands brace for impact!" Maybe she understood and wedged herself in somewhere like when the Enterprise-D crashed. Then again maybe she thought it was safe. After all, he didn't say, "All paws brace for impact!"

And once again, no Q. I thought I had seen his photo in a article several months ago for Nemesis.

It seemed to me this is going to be the last TNG movie - even though they left an opening by transfering Data's memories into B4. Worf, Riker, and Geordi seemed secondary to me in the movie. But maybe by placing Janeway in the admiral's slot, they will forgo any Voyager movies.

Like many posters above me, it's a good movie if you're a fan.

Best review yet. I've been an avid viewer of Star Trek series over the years, having seen most episodes many times, but I wouldn't class myself as a Trekk(er/ie). I thought the plot was loose and disjointed. You just knew the moment they found B-4 that they would put him back together and he'd turn out to be some sort of Trojan horse. And they didn't seem to wonder at all who those guys were that attacked them on the planet where they found B-4.

Overall I'd have to say it wasn't up the standards of good episode of ST:TNG, and seemed kind of slow moving to me.

One more thing: How many times in battle can they "Divert all power" to shields, or engines, or something else? By my count at one point there they had all power diverted to about 3 different things.

2 problems with killing data. The first is he was is my favorite character out of the next generation crew (this is a personal "problem" and doesn't really count). The second problem (and it is a big one) is that in the last episode of next generation "All Good Things" the story started out in the future way past the timeline of THIS movie. In that story, Data is ALIVE and a professor at starfleet academy! How can he be dead now and alive in the future. Keep in mind that B-4's positronic brain is not advanced enough to maintain data's sinapse pattern, and Lore was destroyed beyond repair earlier. How will they possibly explain this one?

Yeah, that was my big issue too. I was stunned. I had heard the rumours that Picard was going to die, so if any of the principals was going to get offed, that was the one I expected.

The timeline issue is a non-issue, I think. Don't forget in the "All Good Things" future 'Admiral Ryker' chose the Enterprise D as his ship and it was destroyed in Generations. Q was pulling all of the strings and only Picard had memories of what happened. Even if Q's future was happening within the regular space-time continuumm once Picard told the crew of his experiences, their future changed because they made decicions that would take them down a different path. Remember at the end when Picard joins the poker game and they talk about not growing apart?

OMG I just reread that last paragraph. I feel like such a nerd! :)
