And the moral of the story is: yes, we have to settle for regular guys in real life, but they ought to do something with their hair! Let it grow, guys. And start carrying swords and riding horses. A guy on a horse is absolutely fatal to a woman's heart. Throw in a sword and a cape, and her virtue is done for.

And the moral of the story is: yes, we have to settle for regular guys in real life, but they ought to do something with their hair! Let it grow, guys. I'm replying to myself, here...It occurs to me that turnabout is fair play, what's good for the gander is good for the goose, and so forth. That is, if we want men to be more beautiful and romantic, we have to do the same. We want them to grow their hair a bit longer and look like Legolas, Aragorn, Faramir, and Eomer? Fine. But they want us to look like Eowyn and Arwen. Not many of us look that good and even among those who are pretty good looking, even fewer grow their hair long and speak in a low mystical healing voice. We have to meet them halfway, to be fair.
Of course, nobody could compete with Arwen. I felt so sorry for Eowyn. The poor girl! She is brave and charming and pretty, full of humor and love, but she can't go around clad in a halo of light, impart power through her touch, and never get any older. It's just not fair.

WOW. I can't believe I've been out of here so long that I missed all this wonderful thread.
I had to go through all alone and peruse each of these photos and links all alone. In my office with no one else in the building.
