Why is it that even if they might be a little bit right; people have to pour cold water on a movie? A lot of us love that movie! If you didn't; well that's fine. But you don't have to trash it for others, thank you!
Another point: I've noticed some inaccurate details in a lot of good movies. After all, we don't live in those times. We can't relive them, can't we? Even "Braveheart", as good as it was, was not entirely accurate in some places. For one thing, the princess in it was a six-year-old child when William Wallace fought the British king. He couldn't have had an affair with her.
Another thing: There was no "Marron" character, as in the movie. W. Wallace had a girlfriend that was killed, but no wife who got killed by the enemy forces. I loved that movie, but I knew that there were a few inaccuracies!
