Good for you Pippin. :-)

Just incredible, lod. One way or another, every last relative of Saddam must be destroyed.

On one of those Dateline exposes of spring break behavior, as I recall, many of the kids expressly stated that whatever they did on spring break - no matter how debauched - didn't matter, because it all "stayed there." Always stays there, eh? I've wondered what it would be like to be a dad, sitting down to watch some TV and that add for "Girls Gone Wild" video comes on. Then lo and behold, dad sees his daughter in one of the scenes...

For y'all who are getting snowstorms, try to make it to the video store and rent
Hillariously funny!

Proud to have a whole bunch of good Canucks like you Pippin. I personally would not worry about it, if you like the flag, don't worry about what people think. You are an asset to Canada, so be proud of it.

thanx for the tip. I will not be venturing out until the storm passes. If this movie is on PRV, I'll check it out.
Currently monitoring Tony Snow (*sigh*),, I keep forgetting to pay attention to what is being said.

I hope Saddam's spawn took lessons in gymnastics because very soon he's going to have to bend over and ... well you know.
The amnesia of European protesters
Corby Pelto
[snip] I recall that the German and French media mocked President Ronald Reagan, depicting him as a cowboy in cartoons, much as they are doing today to President Bush. Then, just as today, they naively attacked America's motives while offering little condemnation of the totalitarian regimes that imprisoned their own people.
After the wall came tumbling down in Germany, I often wondered what happened to all those anti-American French and German protesters? I never heard an apology or even a mild acknowledgment from these groups suggesting that perhaps they had overstated their case and picked the wrong target for their venom.
I wonder how the hundreds of millions of people in Eastern Europe feel about the Cold War's anti-American demonstrators now that they have embraced freedom and the free enterprise system for the first time in their lives? I wonder how many of them would want to go back to the dictatorships that they lived under before the wall came down? Do Germany and France think that this freedom ever would have occurred without America's military presence and principled leadership?
The truth is, there are some people who take freedom entirely for granted, whose perspectives are so naively misguided by altruistic causes and antiestablishment tendencies that they miss the big picture entirely. Those German and French who protest war and America have forgotten the most important lesson of World War II. Had they stood with principle and courage earlier, there'd have been a possibility that Adolf Hitler could have been stopped much earlier. [snip] Full story

He became the class clown, what Americans call a goofball.
Nothing much has changed I see.

I think Clara got what was coming to her. If a male had pulled the same stunt, they wouldn't have gone easy on him, she shouldn't expect preferential treatment.

My wife and I believe that women judge other women more harshly than men do.I tend to agree with you and Mrs. L. I think she got the right amount of time behind bars.
Although I didn't follow the trial so I may have missed some details but she didn't use insanity did she?
That poor excuse I heard after the verdict about how she was told by her husband she was too fat, worked too much, etc.. and then tried everything to win him back only to find him with the floozy so she snapped was just silly.
I'm sorry she's a weak pathetic woman but that's still no excuse to run over your husband in your car (many times) with his daughter in the passenger seat.
To: BigWaveBetty; Iowa Granny
Thanks for your thoughts -
I didn't follow the trial either, just happened to be in the family room when the jury came out with Guilty of murder verdict. I'm not sure what was the defense - she admitted to running over him, but said only once, which was not too smart.
All of dude's family; father, mother, brother and sister testified for Clara and stood by her when the verdict and sentencing were coming down.
Why the heck didn't get get a divorce lawyer????

All of dude's family; father, mother, brother and sister testified for Clara and stood by her when the verdict and sentencing were coming down.I couldn't figure that one out, either he was a very nasty guy or the family didn't want her to spend the rest of her life in prison? But the daughter is now suing her for wrongful death of her father.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sympathetic to abused women, having been one at one time I know how easy it is to slip into believing that you're worthless. But somehow I managed to obtain a divorce lawyer and get the heck out.
Back 30 years ago it was so much harder to get out, but not any more. Clara wanted revenge, she didn't want out.
To: BigWaveBetty
Thanks for the bit of good news. God bless!

Sorry to learn about your marriage to a sob - Mr.BWB obviously did right by marrying someone so much younger.
The dude was a bad player: he must have been truly worthless for his entire family to testify for the defense.
Gran, I just heard a caller to the Kim Komando computer talk show complaining about the poor support that his Dell dudes were providing. Good luck with your situation.

The Dell Dudes are airing a phony commercial about 24 hr support. They don't answer the phone,,, IF they work work weekends.
They claim to my son that since they had to build an entire new unit (they keep NONE in stock??), I had to go to the back of the line and wait my turn. Further claim they have 14 business days to make good. If that is the case, I should have a new system by next weekend. (If that isn't the case, I purchased the system with an American Express card, and will be contacting them at the end of the week)
Snow continues here. I have a grouping of boulders beside the driveway,,, the snow has drifted over them,,, they are gone,,, invisible,,, nada. Guessing the drift is a good 4 ft.
