While you are solving your computer problems, I am sitting here suffering through " The Way We Were". It's my friend's favorite movie and she loaned it to me, so out of respect for her I am watching it. It's on AMC right now if anyone else would like to suffer with me.

Sorry - after learning what those people think of our country, I don't think I could handle it, though I did enjoy it the first time around.
That's Dell's business model Gran - only make 'em when they're ordered, but I'm shocked that they don't have a separate assembly line for their existing customers - not very smart Michael. Hang in there with your weather.

You are a 'GOOD' friend. I'm watching a young James Gardner in tight jeans (Cowboy channel). Don't think I'll change the channel.

OOooo WEeee! it's snowing like crazy! Geesh, I'm getting kinda tried of all this snow.
Did ya all see 20/20 last night? They had a piece on Uday, Sadam's crazy son. Not a very flattering piece. They called him crazy and likes to rape women and young girls. A real gem, that one is. We need to go in there and clean that place up.
Here's a bunch of knockle heads.

I always wondered where these kids got the money to go on these trips. Obviously Mom and Dad were willing to pay for it, but I guess they didn't want to know what their kids were doing. Too much money and not enough sense on the part of both parents AND kids, I'd say!

Ole Crusty alert! This was on Feb. 9th. I see she still hasn't given Crusty a break yet.
On the 11th, she left the orange scarf at home. Poor Crusty!*sigh*

What is you guys' opinion of the Clara Harris sentencing? I think she got EXACTLY what she deserved! If she'd only hit him once, the jury might have bought the 'crime of passion' thing. The fact that she is shown on viideotape going around in circles running him over didn't do much for her defense in that case.
The man may have been a real creep, but his daughter was in that car that ran him over, and no matter what a creep she knew him to be, I'm sure it was horrifying to see him die like that.
I thought the prosecutor's closing statement was perfect. To paraphrase; "If he's doing you wrong, you take him to court, take away his kids, take away the house and clean out his bank account, but you don't kill him"!
I don't feel the least bit sorry for Clara Harris, but I do pity her step-daughter, Lindsay, and the twin boys she had with her late husband. It will be tough for them as they grow.

It's on AMC right now if anyone else would like to suffer with me.No, thanks. I don't think I've been so sinful as to have to penance by watching Barbra and Robert and their dysfunctional relationship! I saw it when it first came out and that was enough for me!

We are getting a ton of snow here, Gran. It sleeted during the night and now we have about 5 or 6 inches of blowing, drifting snow and it is still snowing.

Shoot, lod - I was watching the sentencing and before the jury announced the penalty, I said out loud, "I hope she gets 20 years." And lo and behold, she got 20 years. -- I'll just have to say that the next time I see Hillary! on tv.
She got what she deserved. She killed her husband - 3 times over. I have no mercy for her. If it had been a man who had done what she did, he'd have gotten the death penalty, so she should thank her lucky stars.
Her husband was a true jerk, but he didn't deserve to be killed. She, instead, should have just taken him to the cleaners and let the harlot receptionist have him.

Thanks for weighing in on Mrs. Harris - Pam is correct, women are more harsh on other women than are men.
It is still so wrong to pancake your spouse however.

Good evening, all. My sympathies to all being buried in snow drifts. Our predicted 6 inches was only about 1-1/2 inches, although tomorrow may be a different story. Had any anti-U.S. types shown up in my neck o' the woods today, it would have been a fine day to counterprotest but, alas, they were silent. Too bad, I was in a mood to let 'em have it.

Snow? Heck, I'm laying here with the screened-in porch door wide open! Sorry....I shouldn't rub it in.
Laying around with great chest pains these days. Started with the flu in early January, progressed to bronchitis, and today was diagnosed with pleurisy. It's my own fault for waiting too long to get to doc....something I hate to do. I feel like a pharmacy on legs right now. Too many drugs. I sure hope all this stuff helps....soon....

These London demonstrators evidently have NO SENSE OF HISTORY:
HISTORY OF "PEACE IN OUR TIME":
On Sept. 30, 1928 British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain returned to England after a Munich conference with Adolph Hitler. This was AFTER Hitler had invaded the Rhineland and "annexed" Austria (they didn't put up any resistance).
In front of 10 Downing Street, Chamberlain said: "My good friends, for the second time in our history, a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honour. I believe it is for peace in our time... Go home and get a nice quiet sleep."
Several months later Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia and the most violent war in history was underway. The phrase "Peace in our Time" became a widely-used derisive term for attempts to appease dictators.

These people have been Neville Chamberlain reincarnated in recent days. If any of us writes a letter to the editor, please make the analogy of Hussein and Hitler, and point out that appeasement of genocidal maniacs didn't work in the 1930s and it won't work now.
annie, take your meds, child! And chicken soup (it can't hurt).
