A call to prayer warriors to unite in "targeted" prayers - prayers aimed specifically at geographic areas of Iraq that are involved in heated battle (cities, towns, locales, objectives). Reason: In Old Testament God was specific in His instructions to those involved in armed conflicts. As we read or hear about battles going on in specific cities in Iraq or regions - we can unite to pray for the battles in these areas. We are not just fighting Saddam and his henchmen. There is a very real spiritual battle taking place because anywhere such evil has been allowed to fluorish as it has inside Iraq - "principalities, powers, and forces of darkness" take up residence in physical locales as well as inside the human beings dwelling there.
We are not able to defeat the legions of demons inside Iraq - but there is One who is MORE THAN ABLE to do so. We must engage in the conflict simply as being a front line prayer warrior - holding up a certain region before God in prayer and asking that the One who came to this earth to DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL and who, while He was here, went from town to town, delivering people from the hosts of wickedness that indwelt them - displaying his supreme AUTHORITY OVER EVIL SPIRITS and DEMONS and SATAN himself - this One, Jesus Christ - and His Holy Angels would be present in power and authority to defeat the demonic hordes of certain specific locales involved in intense fighting.
Yes, we are praying for individuals in our military and for our general war effort and for the families of those involved and for our President and our leaders.
But we can also do STRATEGIC PRAYING FOR LOCALES in the "news" as we read/hear about setbacks for instance and/or areas needing breakthroughs - and that kind of praying is what I am encouraging with this post.
For any who would like to participate - post here or Freepmail me and I will post a locale / specific area each day for "targeted" prayer warrior praying.
And, as we pray, understand we are on the true frontlines. As Mammadooo says - pray for the blood of Jesus Christ, shed for you and for me, to cover you and to cover our loved ones, and to cover all those fighting for freedom and to cover the innocent Iraqi's in Basra. Put on the full armor of God BEFORE you pray. And spread the word - and God bless and keep you all.

There is tenderness being shown the people of Basra to match the terror they have known for decades. But it is by God's mighty power that the forces of darkness will be routed from Basra. Pray for this. Pray for continued success by those liberating Basra in totally cleaning out that city of the thugs and butchers and pray for the people of Basra to have opportunities for justice!!!!

Prayer for Basra bump and for an end to the atrocities in Basra by the butchers there as we ask Almighty God to send the hosts of heaven - His Holy Angels - into that city to set free the captives there! In Jesus' name. Amen.
And by the way - from a man who knows the Koran inside and out - I learned that Jesus Christ and a Messiah are part of Muslim beliefs. This man has come to know that the Messiah that Muslims wait for IS NONE OTHER THAN JESUS - who is honored in their own writings. (I know - another subject) but God loves the people of Basra - and lets remember that the forces of hell have been encamped there a very long time. By HIS SPIRIT HE will drive them out as we hold that city up before Him in prayer. Remember also to pray the full armor of God on yourselves, your loved ones, and on the warriors on the ground and on the people of Basra - and pray that the blood of Jesus Christ shed for all to cover us, our loved ones, all that concern us = and the city of Basra preventing the gates of hell from prevailing against all so covered.
Amazingly, this picture was on the front page of our liberal rag this morning. My sister, a pediatric nurse, looked at the child and immediately recognized the signs of malnutrition or worse in this innocent tot -- as you say "the forces of hell have been encamped there a very long time." Praying for our brave warriors to drive them out.
The people of Iraq - one hopes - will see these acts of kindness and understand what we are doing there. Many do. But it is the "nest of demons" in these cities that we are praying against and for deliverance from. Will add you do the targeted prayer ping list. We are still targeting BASRA right now - and great advances have been made thanks to our great allies and also thanks to Almighty God.

Be sure also that you and everyone put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6) and be covered by the shed blood of Jesus Christ and go into prayer with praise and thanksgiving because we truly are on the "front lines" when engaging in spiritual warfare. God is our rock and our fortress, our strong tower, our shield and defender....so let's be sure we are walking in faith, covered by HIS WINGS - and all our loved ones the same as we go forward in prayer for the deliverance of Basra!
