Madonna thanks France for opposition to Iraq war

Madonna has thanked France for its opposition to the Iraqi war, during a private performance for 200 guests of a radio station in Paris.

Dressed in a low-cut black top and black glittery trousers, she performed the title track to her album, American Life.

The exclusive event, held at the city's Nobel restaurant, lasted 40 minutes.

But for those not invited to the venue, the concert was broadcast by the radio station live over the internet and to nine European countries.

As she thanked the French for opposing conflict in Iraq, she told fans: "Here in France I feel at home."

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS:
All in an effort to sell her crappy CDs in France.

200 fans,by the way her album is selling, that seems like the norm for one of her upcoming concerts. If she feels "at home" in France, by all means, please stay.

Madonna no longer 'fits' into any audience. She is too old to generate sales from the teen audience. The audience she once had has moved on and have careers, families, and a change in their taste of music. The sales of her new cd were reported disappointing. As the way of Michael Jackson, Madonna headed for Europe to hold on to fame and glory. In Paris, Japan for example she may still hold star power, but in the United States she does not.

MADONNA has plummeted down to Eight

Madonna's new LP 'American Life' sold 91,000 to drop down to Eight after just one week at the summit. The record dropped from its top spot in the UK earlier this week to Three after a similarly short stay.

Madonna was beat out by: #2 album American Idol Season 2: All-Time Classic American Love Songs, which sold over 101,000 copies and ranks as the biggest chart debut."American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson nabbed the #3 position for the second week in a row with Thankful, which sold almost 100,000 copies, driving the album to gold status (500,000 or more in sales)- VH1.Com

..shows hype and controversy may sell the debute, but artistic credibility of the music must sustain any volume to generate sales.

"Here in France I feel at home."

None on the left feel at home in their own country because anti-capitalism is the membership requirement, anything American that resembles success advances the cause of capitalism, and must be opposed.

Artists throughout history have been exalted in both socialist and capitalist societies and therefore today's stars don't feel they owe anything, including their lofty stature, to capitalism.

I was watching "That 70's Show" this week. At the end, the "Foreign Kid" was picking a place to live if he got deported. He mentioned France, paused, then said, "F*** France!". I know, family TV doesn't need that, but, damn, if was funny!

Great, so Madonna, MOVE TO FRANCE! You and your CD's and videos have corrupted America long enough. Goodbye and good riddance!

Do I have to change my name?

Will it get me far?

Should I lose some weight?

Am I gonna be a star?

I tried to be a boy,

I tried to be a girl

I tried to be a mess,

I tried to be the best

I guess I did it wrong,

That's why I wrote this song

This type of modern life - Is it for me?

This type of modern life - Is it for free?

So, I went into a bar looking for sympathy

A little company - I tried to find a friend

It's more easily said it's always been the same

This type of modern life -Is not for me?

This type of modern life -Is not for free?

American life

I live the american dream

You are the best thing I've seen,

You are not just a dream

I tried to stay ahead,

I tried to stay on top

I tried to play the part,

But somehow I forgot

Just what I did it for

And why I wanted more

This type of modern life - Is it for me?

This type of modern life - Is it for free?

Do I have to change my name?

Will it get me far?

Should I lose some weight?

Am I gonna be a star?

American life

I live the american dream

You are the best thing I've seen,

You are not just a dream

I tried to be a boy,

I tried to be a girl

I tried to be a mess,

I tried to be the best

I tried to find a friend,

I tried to stay ahead

I tried to stay on top...

Fu** it... Do I have to change my name?

Will it get me far?

Should I lose some weight?

Am I gonna be a star?

I'm drinking a Soy latte

I get a double shot

It goes right through my body

And you know

I'm satisfied,

I drive my mini cooper

And I'm feeling super-dooper

Yo they tell I'm a trooper

And you know I'm satisfied

I do yoga and pilates

And the room is full of hotties

So I'm checking out the bodies

And you know I'm satisfied

I'm digging on the isotopes

This metaphysic's shit is dope

And if all this can give me hope

You know I'm satisfied

I got a lawyer and a manager

An agent and a chef

Three nannies, an assistant

And a driver and a jet

A trainer and a butler

And a bodyguard or five

A gardener and a stylist

Do you think I'm satisfied?

I'd like to express my extreme point of view

I'm not Christian and I'm not a Jew

I'm just living out the American dream

And I just realized that nothing Is what it seems

Do I have to change my name

Am I gonna be a star

Do I have to change my name

Am I gonna be a star?

Do I have to change my name

What kind of crap is this?

Madonna is nothing but a fag-hag "skank".

I'm glad she supports who she does.

I don't want her on OUR side
