Is Eaker an A$$?

Here it is, close to 2:00 a.m. on a Friday night. Eaker & I are having our usual BS discussions. At one point in our conversation I say to Eaker that he is an ass - a great person, but an ass non the less. Well, he totally disagrees with me, then dares me to post a survey thread on FR.
So let me (and him) know what you think - is Eaker an ass or not?
Please keep in mind at all times that there is NO DOUBT that he is a great & wonderful person and I love him dearly and without a doubt he has my (and all his friends) back ... but - - -

Eaker's not an ass.
He's a warm, cuddly teddy bear.
A very well armed, readily angered, unbalanced and homicidal teddy bear, but a teddy bear nonetheless.

Well of course he's an ass, there can be no doubt.
He overcooks steaks, too. But he's my kind of ass and we'd all be the poorer without him.
To: TheMom
He's a flag-waving ass...

A$$-ness is a sign of manly virtue. I'm sure Mrs. Slim thinks I'm an A$$, but due to her sweet nature she just calls me "a horrible little man".

There was one poster who claimed he was rude a few days ago but that was quickly retracted.
I'm sort of curious as to the argument that started this discussion.

I would have to say that "ass" is very much a two sided argument...
On one cheek you have one side of the argument, and on the other cheek you have the other side of the issue...
Where you don't want to be is in between the cheeks...
As far as Thomas being an ass...Well lets just say he's in good company as far as I am concerned...Between one ass to another...I feel pretty good about it...

M & M, honest to God, this is the first I've ever heard of Eaker. If his wife (if she IS his wife, heck, I could claim THAT, but then why would she call him an ass then admit she's his wife if it wasn't true, unless she's sick?) wants to begin a scurrilous thread to call him an opprobrious name to have some fun with his pals, then it seems likely he's a pretty decent sort. As is his (alleged) wife.
Don't be such an ass, Eaker! :^)

And as far as Eaker goes, who else can I call at 6:00 in the morning, hear some good jokes, and get some good cheer? They are a great pair.

Did he ever blow up a perfectly good rifle? That brings up an interesting thought. If the operator doesn't do anything out of the ordinary and it was good ammo, did the person blow up a "perfectly good rifle"?

To: TheMom
Is Eaker an ASS? Well now I've read his posts a lot and seem to be on the same threads that he winds up on.
Now I know that I'm an ASS. One of my children said he expected any day to get a phone call to come and get his dear old mom out of jail or that the men in black suits were seen taking an old woman out of her house kicking an screaming.
They say you are known by the company you keep. So Tom, I guess my answer is that I'm in good company. (Is that an insult to you or me? LOL)
Stay armed and supplied. We're gonna need it.
