My father used to work in NYC years ago and remembered the huge spike in births that occurred 9 months after the last blackout. Talk about making lemonade...

Hubby and I were talking about past NYC blackouts and it was weird because I remember the 1965 blackout and I was only 4 at the time. But for the life of me could not remember anything about the one in 77.
I finally realized why - I wasn't in the city when it happened, we were on vacation in Florida!!!
