Suprise! Your new boss is an islamist wacko
Vanity | August 15th | Me

Posted on 08/15/2003 12:53:34 PM PDT by Eurotwit

I don't do vanity post, but i am doing on exception now.

I have just gone through one of my worst days ever. Working as a business consultans I lost my jobs in the aftermath of 911. After Having gone over a year without a job, I finally succeded in getting employed as a salesman for a publisher of industry guides in Scandinavia.

However, my boss took to me to his office after work today and started asking me all sorts of questions....What do you think of America? What do you think of the jews? Bla bla bla... Then, he told me he was related in a direct line to Mohammed and was from some prominent Pakistani family.

Hw told me that when the US what hit the next time he was going to rejoice.

He even asked me, "Do you know that all of the worlds conflict involves muslims?" I thought to myself, that I had a pretty good idea, but that it was probably not the same thing he had in mind. Then he went, "It's because the jews and the Americans are pursuing Muslims all over the world relentlessy".......

Now...I cannot affort to loose this job, and while I wanted to have a go at my boss and just swallowed it and nodded and said nothing. I feel awful. My personal integrity went down the toilet... I guess the people who on here who says Scandinavian men have become spineless are right.

What would you have done?

My son and daughter in law both graduated from UA here, and they've told me that they kept their opinions to themselves and answered test questions, etc., in a way the professor would approve of, with this exception in the case of my son. He did the last half of his junior year and his entire senior year through an external degree program, and the professors he drew through that program tended to be more conservative. I wish I had taught him to stand up for his beliefs in a stronger manner.

He did his final paper on terrorism, however, and did such an excellent job on it that his professor is using it as a reference for himself and his other students. (off/proud mama)

Perhaps you can tell me if liberal professors go easier on adult students expressing conservative views (i.e. adults going back to school) than on the typical 18 - 22 year old. Just wondering.

You're in a higher-tier school than I am (Coastal Carolina University). I've spent my brief career in regional universities, and based on my very limited sample the faculty and students in such places tend to be more conservative. I do suspect that I got very lucky, and I'm very glad to be where I am.

Best of luck.

Remember your ancestors the Vikings :) Throw the damn islamafascists out of your country, your ancestors wouldn't have put up with them. I wish we could do that here but the traitor demoncrats want to lick the butts of anyone that hates America.

I say this send us the sick, the poor, the huddled masses but only those sick, poor, and huddled mases that want to be Americans and support this nation. I just want those that hate this nation sent back to what ever cesspool they crawled out of.

What would I have done? It depends, literally. If you have children, a family dependent on your income, then any rash response wouldn't be logical and wouldn't help 'America' in any way.

Document the conversation and send to the Homeland Security folks, and then start looking for another job.

Be willing to accept a little less money in a new position, and be sure to let the jerk know why you're giving him your notice to terminate your current position once you find one.

Good luck and God's Blessings.

Quit.

I've quit a couple of jobs that I've needed because of ethical collisions. Believe me, you can always scrounge food and place to live but you cannot go day after day with someone like that eating away your soul.

Do you really want to listen to this man's rantings day after day? If you do, I'd suggest you make a huge batch of barbeque using the best Pork shoulder you can find, a ton of coleslaw and bring lunch every single day.

PS.. I make the best darn carolina bbq in the country, by my own admission ( ;, so just email me, and I will give you the recipe. It takes bout three days to make though.

Man, I don't know if I could have listened to that BS without smacking him across the face. When I hear about dumbasses like this I reach for my AR-15.

And I'd do what Major RiskTaker said to do. And then call John Ashcroft on the bastard.

.....tend to be more conservative......

I would tend to agree with you that the higher the tier, the more liberal. I've learned over the years to keep my mouth shut, produce good publishable work and generate lots of patents for the institution.

FR is the place where I come to blow off some steam and speak my mind without worrying about being politically correct. I would be in alot more trouble here without it.

I attend Francis Marion U. just up the road from you. I have detected no hint of liberalism in the School of Business.

SIU Carbondale, School of Engineering - no liberalism. (1993)
Liberal Arts, Humanities, English, Schools of Education and Journalism......well, you know.

Good deal. IMO, engineering and business faculty tend to be much more conservative than their liberal arts counterparts, possibly because they are actively involved with the real world. (Or possibly, since they're much harder to recruit than liberal arts faculty, they're less afraid of retaliation.)

Good luck with your studies. My sympathies on having to live in Florence. :-)

I honestly don't know. I'd hope to take a stand against the Muslim. But I've been longterm unemployed too and living hand to mouth is horrible too. It sounds like sooner or later you'll lose it and then the job will be over anyway. You have my sympathy.

I have grave difficulty keeping my mouth shut, so I picked an environment where that wouldn't be a problem. ;-) While it would be nice to have more time for research, there's a lot to be said for a pleasant work environment. Life is a series of tradeoffs, I suppose.

FR is the place where I come to blow off some steam and speak my mind without worrying about being politically correct. I would be in alot more trouble here without it.

I know exactly what you mean. Escape valves are great.

My goodness, what a frightening post. The immigrants I work with love America, at least I think they do. But then, they are just middle class office workers, maybe the problem with your guys is that they are all high-falutin scientists.

We really need to stop immigration NOW, if these are the types we are getting.

Just remember this Euro, your boss wants you either 1. on your knees with your rear-end in the end praying to Allah, or 2. dead. And it's not just you, it's your family and everyone you know.

What would you have done?

Put bacon grease in his coffee and food in the office fridge. Send him a letter in about 10 years telling him what you did.

......I have grave difficulty keeping my mouth shut.......

I did too when I first got here. I've learned to 'tone it down' and 'bite my tongue' a lot. I literally spent hours out of each day argueing with people. And the worst part is Liberals are so numerous that as soon as you finish one argument (not winning of course, but a least making them back off their original media-ingrained predjudices), either another Lib will come up to you and start the whole thing over again with the same screwball beginning-premises that the first one had, or bring up another set of misinformed premises and arguements; the whole process just goes on and on. After awhile you find that your not productive at work and you just shut your mouth.

The way things are is that "political views" are NOT "firing offenses" in academia; Diversity is important. Not being productive and get your work done is. So as long as things are moving along they stay. The only thing I can do is try (subliminally) and change their views, and diplomatically point out to the Uber-Furher the views some of these people have; in which case he will reiterate the thought in my first sentence (see above).
