Yasser Arafat Death Watch Thread

Posted on 09/11/2003 11:02:55 AM PDT by thoughtomator

Guess what, everybody? It's time for an event we've all been waiting YEARS for...

the...

Yasser Arafat
Death Watch Thread!

To commemorate this glorious moment, let's all contribute our testimonials to the character of ol' Yasser. Suggestions for NON FRENCH champagne are heartily welcomed, as well as pics of 9/11, our brave troops in Iraq, the noble men and women of the Israeli armed forces, cartoons making fun of rag-heads in general, and quotes from old Mark Steyn columns!

I will personally send a box of chocolates to the person who picks the time closest to Yasser's actual passing (or a case of beer if you prefer)!

Pop them corks, the celebrations are right around the corner!

September 14, 2003, at 4:20 pm. With any luck, it will be sooner.

I'd still rather that they throw him in jail and not let him speak to anyone, and just show pictures of him cleaning toilets and stuff from time to time so people know he's still alive. I'd hate it if he became a "martyr" to those wackos.

BTW, lets pin you down. Godiva? How many pounds? I prefer nutty ones and caramels, and none of the stale cheap ones.

I would think a pig roast would be more appropriate.

A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks in the sweetest little lisp, "Excuthe me, mithter, do you keep widdle (awa)wats?"

As the shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets down on his knees, so that he's on her level, and asks, "Do you want a widdle white (awa)wat or a thoft and fuwwy bwack (awa)wat or maybe one like that widdle bwown (awa)wat over there?"

She, in turn blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says in a quiet voice, "I don't fink my pet pyfon weally gives a thit."

December 25, 2003 Christmas Day or during Chanukkah (December 20-27, 2003) at 6:30 p.m. PST would be an appropriate time to celebrate ole Yassir's demise. Let's hear it for ole araRATfink: Hip, Hip, Hooray!

This celebration - although festive and hopeful - is nonetheless premature. I don't think Israel will get the green light from the US to "take care of business" and they don't have the nerve to do it on their own. Yasser's not going anywhere for a while.
