Possibility of John Breaux for the minority leader seat?

On Hannity/C, (it was also mentioned on Brit's show) they were talking about the replacement for Dash man seat.... both shows mentioned John Breaux for the seat;

Isn't Breaux the one that tried to pick up a sixteen year old girl??? RoRo! Also, my dad has told me several times that he always went against helping the vets... my dad is a korean war vet (Navy)?

No. And Breaux is retiring so you must have heard wrong. I think they were suggesting him for HHS if Thompson retires. I'd be for that--Breaux is smart and tried to work with W.

I agree. My family used to live in Louisiana and when my Dad's government retirement (ATF) check simply stopped (the Treasury Department under SlickWilly declared him dead!) then Senator Breaux took on the Office of Personnel Management and got it started again. He also called every single utility and vouched for us so they wouldn't shut us off.

I never heard of any tryst with a teenage girl, but I left La several years ago.

I can only speak for my own personal experience, not for the masses, but IMHO, we could do a lot worse than to deal with a Dem like John Breaux.

I know he retired... his seat was the one that Chris John was running for, but Vitter won. I know they mentioned his name on both shows! Anyway... just wondering what others out there on Freepers (La.) would know about this, and how much they actually know about him!

In a quick google search I've found nothing connecting former Senator John Breaux with any teenage girl scandal. However, he is a Democrat, the MSM could very well have ignored it.

John Breaux is retiring, and he is also a Blue Dog Democrat. At heart, I think he is a good guy, so I take some offense of you making those implications. I got drunk with him at the Greenbrier Hotel a year and a half ago.

Honestly, I prefer him over Orrin Hatch even if I disagree with Breaux on quite a bit.

So, let me get this straight: You're offended about these implications because you sat with him and got drunk, what once, that's what you're going on? Well I've heard enough buzz about 'ole Johnnie who knew him well, and probably did ALOT of drinkin' with him. AND, you might disagree with him on quite a bit???
