I'm starting to think that Gilchrest could win this.
Breaking: Neighbors report screams from the residences of FReepers Dane and bayourod
Maybe it would be cheaper if I just bought on of those clear plastic keyboard covers. LOL
I'll go grab a beer and some popcorn so I can watch the action here.
Tom is awesome! And a patriot to boot!
Gilchrist
Bump
I hope you're right. Good job, Representative Tancredo!
I guess Crazy Tom is running for President with the AIP. Is this the 2008 Perot used to put Hillary in? Stay tuned.
No, he can't. All this proves is that Tancredo is a wingnut that throws bombs. In the right direction, perhaps, but he's still a bomb thrower, not someone who helps build anything.
Yesterday, Darrell Issa said that Tancredo should be kicked out of the GOP for endorsing Jim Gilchrist.
Stupid. Heavy-handed.
Tancredo was on the John and Ken Show on KFI between 4 and 4:30 yesterday, and tore Issa and Campbell a new one.
He was masterful.
The Republican suits are sweating.
The activists and talk radio are with Jim Gilchrist.
Campbell's numbers have deteriorated so badly that he has now agreed to debate Jim Gilchrist on KFI one on one on Monday, the night before the election. And that is after he has arrogantly avoided every single local forum and debate.
And today, Alan Keyes and Reverend Jesse Peterson are appearing at the Minuteman First Birthday Bash at the Irvine Marriott between 4 and 7.
Here's something about Jim Gilchrest that many people don't know: In addition to being a patriot, he is a Certified Public Accountant. We need far more CPA's and fewer lawyers in Congress.
OK, I am totally against this, for one very simple reason. It will split the Republican Party and give 2008 to Hilary. Which would be about a gazillion times worse than even having McCain in office. (Or would it?). I just think we have to work together against the REAL problems. What if Soros or some liberal funding comes in to finance this as a way to split the 'Pubs??
I wouldn't like to lose a seat in Congress, even to a conservative independent. But the GOP Establishment needs a wake-up call, and an election is one of the best ways to do it. Better now than in '06, or '08.
Can any knowledgeable person offer a prediction of what percentage of the vote Gilchrest will get? I can't imagine he will win, but a very strong showing might deliver the message too.
How does one get kicked out of a politcal party?
Is Issa the GOP Pope or something?
:-)
Campbell 42% Brewer 28% All Dems 20% Gilchrist 8% Others 2%
What's your guess EV?
Disclaimer - Gut feeling only from 2000 miles away. Gilchrist will do very well for a third party, but third parties are handicapped, especially in a runoff system.
BTW - Tancredo's coming to Michigan as a speaker for a fundraiser. Last place I'd expect too. Oakland County (Auburn Hills) - and in Knollenberg's district to boot.
Throwing a vote away?
There goes their credibility, what's left of it.
