Democratic congressional candidate Ed Perlmutter is leading Republican Rick O'Donnell by 6 percentage points in the closely watched 7th. Congressional district, according to a new poll.
Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, meanwhile, holds a 10-point lead over Democratic challenger, stater Rep. Angie Paccione.

This is from the Mason-Dixon polling organization. It's good news, all things considered. The bad news is that in the overwhelmingly Republican 5th. District, state Senator Doug Lamborn is polling only 37% and running even with his DemocRAT opponent.
I saw a freeper from Lamborn's district post about it the other day. Apparently the guy IS a real slime and he's basically alienated a huge chunk of R's.
I hope they just vote for him this time to keep control and then oust him in the primary in '08.
Musgrove will win easily. I hope O'Donell wins, he's a great candidate, but it's a tricky district. Considering what a disaster he's been statewide, I wish Beuperez had stayed here and O'Donell run for Governor.
As for the Lamborn race... there's no telling. With a 37-37 tie anything can happen. In such a Republican district I would assume the undecideds will break heavily for Lamborn and he'll win. But if the DCCC starts spending money there, watch out. Then we would need the NRCC to counter, thus putting another district "in play."
You think he's done when he's only down by 6%? Why?
I'm not suggesting I'm sure he'll win, but that's a very competitive race and he's an excellent candidate.
Survey USA had him down 17 and Zogby phone poll down 11. I think he's down by more than 6, that's all. Clearly the 37-37 result in the other district is a bit weird, and casts a bit of suspicion on the whole poll.
There's no way he's down that much.
The 37-37 looked weird till I heard about it from a freeper who is from the district. Apparently the guy ran such a nasty primary race that he alienated more then half the R's.
They'll most likely come home on election day, but I'm not surprised that it's tied now.
It's quite possible that O'Donnell is climbing in the polls. He is heavily outspending Perlmutter in the general.
In the Colorado Springs-based 5th. District, Doug Lamborn strikes a number of people as a despicable person. Two of his four former primary opponents have not endorsed him, and neither has Congressman Joel Hefley.
