What kind of twisted, self-serving logic is it that you can try to connect one who is angry at the GOP for not being and acting conservative enough with them? Maybe you are comfortable with being a Party uber Alles Republican but apparently not enough of the electorate are.

And it is a failure of education. We have the example of LBJ prominently in our past and the 60s and 70s and W repeated the error. Even Korea is an instructive example. We did not drive immediately to victory because we had replaced the army with the Boy Scouts immediately following WWII and then we got bogged down in proportional tit-for-tat and dumping MacArthur and we had to essentially sue for peace at the 38th parallel.

I agree that most of them are not going to stay conservative, but the point is that a lot of them did run as conservatives . They had to do that for a reason. Conservatism is not unpopular.

The way I see it, if you didn't vote Republican you helped put the Democrats in charge of the House and the Senate. Far from being a conservative, you are much closer to a democrat. And why the Republican party should listen to a bunch of democrats is beyond me. Hopefully...they won't.

Oh, SLICK, this one gets the "Willy" award. Nice how he can so glibly dismiss all the pressing problems of the nation. Why, the real Slick Willy probably couldn't do any better! I'm sure the Dims will play EXACTLY the way he wants.

In the meantime, we won't have to worry about "immigration reform", "border security", or "temporary workers", we'll just have a "general amnesty". Surely, that's what you wanted, all those Hispanic votes going to Dims for umpteen years hence. Conservatives won't smell any sort of victory anytime in my lifetime. Comforting, isn't it. You really should start learning Spanish though'cause in the next election you will probably be using a Spanish language ballot.

Me, and some like-thinking individuals will be moving to Mexico, we'll have it all to ourselves by that then. Alas, it is by invitation only--and YOU are definitely NOT invited.

With that kind of attitude, you might just as well be a Dem!

The unbending, all or nothing, dogs in the manger, cut of your nose to spite your face UNAPPEASABLES should look at themselves in the mirror and understand that you don't help win elections, but you surely do help to lose them. And if the best that you can do, is to whinge and whine and complain, but never ever do anything constructive, you are far worse than any damned Dem.
