Exclusive: Arnold Defends Hillary, Mulls (2010) Senate Run
Politio ^ | February 23, 2007 | Roger Simon

If Arnold Schwarzenegger had been born in Austin instead Austria, he might be president today.

But because that office is denied him by the U.S. Constitution, he is concentrating on other things.

He told me in a 45-minute interview in his office in the state capitol Thursday:

He will not rule out running for future public office including U.S. senator or mayor of Los Angeles when his term as governor expires in January 2011. He will not endorse a presidential candidate until after the Republican Convention in September 2008, even though he thinks Rudy Giuliani and John McCain are strong candidates and either could win the California primary. He wants a deadline for getting U.S. troops out of Iraq, even though he recognizes that President Bush does not. He thinks Democrats should stop criticizing Hillary Clinton for refusing to say she made a mistake by voting for the Iraq war. His wife, Maria Shriver, will “absolutely not” run for governor of California or any other public office, quashing speculation that a Schwarzenegger dynasty was in the making. Schwarzenegger, a Republican who favors abortion rights, stem-cell research, gay rights

This is my favorite part of the interview because McCain was so sure he had the endorsement of Arnold! Something happened! Maybe it was being in the same close quarters of the plane that Arnold decided it was better not to endorse anyone! :)

First things first- Arnold was defending Hitlery from her fellow Rodents, not Republicans.

As long as there are states that lean the way California does, then it will be necessary to tolerate RINO's (in those states, not in conservative areas). I know, at times it's trying.

I've never trusted nor liked this Kennedy wanna be. He lost me when he married into that corrupt, sociopathic family.

So true. As a prisoner of SoCAL, I voted for Arnie , twice and will if he faces Babs Boxer. He would be so much better that anyone outside of the state, could not grasp that fact. Babs is a pure socialist pacifist. Arnie would at least want to cut taxes and at least have a strong military. He might even rewrite No Child Left Behind!

I grow tired of the 'Flabinator'. He needs to retire when his term is up.

Absolutely right about the Kennedys - all of them. they believe themselves to be some sort of self-made royalty. Arnold would be well advised to remember that if you lay down with dogs you get up sith fleas, but if you lay down with pigs (with or without lipstick), you are damn lucky to get up at all.
