Our campaign has had a fantastic month! From dominant debate performances to standing room only crowds, Fred is really hitting his stride just in time for the most important contest of the race so far.
As much emphasis as is placed on Iowa and New Hampshire, South Carolina is the real bellwether in the GOP nominating process. On Saturday, voters in the Palmetto State will go to the polls and make a statement about the direction of our Party and our nation. As Fred pointed out in last Thursday's debate in Myrtle Beach, we are in a battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party.
He believes, as do I, that the Reagan coalition is not dead. It is alive and well and Fred is the man that will unite that coalition and lead our Party to victory in November.
As Fred makes his case one on one with the voters of South Carolina, we are also making our case on the airwaves. Take a look at our new ad "Always". I think Fred summarizes his case for victory best, in his own words.

Fred’s sooo close to his goal!
I would like to see a candidate tackle an issue like abortion head on. An ad doing so would have to be written very carefully, but I think it could be very effective. Something like:
I'm not a speechwriter, and the above is probably too long, but if a candidate were to attack the Democrat's carefully cultivated and manipulated guilt, the Democrats would be toast.
Some people seem to think that since I'm pro-life I want to throw in jail every woman who has an abortion. Others question my pro-life credentials because I don't want to do that. In fact, I don't believe women who have abortions should be jailed, and here's why. Since the issuance of Roe v. Wade, many people have been duped into believing that an unborn child, or even an unwanted child accidentally delivered at 40 weeks gestation, is nothing more than a mass of cells. A lot of these people come to realize after the fact that they were duped, but believe that if they can convince enough other people that an unborn child is just a mass of cells, that will become true and their earlier actions will be vindicated.
I don't want to punish people who fall for such a widespread delusion, but nor do I want that delusion to continue. People need to realize that encouraging others to follow their mistakes won't make those mistakes less bad--it will simply compound them. The only way for someone to really recover from such mistakes--mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, is to recognize them, acknowledge them, and help others to avoid them.
Everyone does foolish and wrongful things now and again. That's part of being human. A good person will learn from mistakes, and allow others to learn from them as well.

That would make a very powerful spot!
Not sure how exactly one could make it work, though. Nobody but a candidate would be able to promise what a candidate would or wouldn't do, nobody would care what a losing candidate had to say he would or wouldn't do, and I'm not sure any candidate who wasn't losing would want to go so far out on a limb, though if Fred gets in trouble it might be worth a shot as a "Hail Mary". Properly done, such a spot could eliminate many evangelical Christians' doubts about Fred's religion.
