John Mccain Statue in Hanoi
Posted on 07/01/2008 8:37:39 PM PDT by minus_273
There is a statue in Hanoi where McCain was shot down. I am amazed this exists:

taken from http://www.everywheremag.com/places/4940/
The inscription apparently says " on October 26, 1967, John McCain was shot down here. Thirty-one other U.S. aircraft were also downed on this day, according to the inscription. "
very strange. I guess they want tourism.

... and while we're at it, there's a statue of Lincoln in Tijuana, as I was surprised to learn when I went there on business.

There is a Lenin statue in Seattle. Although that might not be as much of a stretch.

If McCain wins the election, perhaps we can erect a statue in the state that “puts him over the top”.
