The Secret Service has selected a fitting enough code name for Gov. Sarah Palin: "Denali," same as the Alaska national park and preserve famed for its mountain peaks and wildlife.
Perhaps even more perfect is their code name for former oil slope worker Todd Palin -- "Driller." McCain and Palin have made drilling for oil a central part of their platform, so much so that "Drill, baby, drill!" is now a regular McCain-Palin rally chant.

I can think of lots of names for the Obamas!
I don’t remember ever hearing past presidents/candidates names.

Biden’s wife has a PhD so her’s must be Doc. Therefore, Joe's has to start with a D. I'll be nice and say, Dork.

Considering their given names, their codenames are probably Mike, Jane, Kim, Tina and Bob.

There is no way that “renegade” can be seen as a compliment...lol. I love Phoenix. I’m sure it’s based on locale but I also hope it’s because whenever people think McCain has been politically dead he rises from the ashes. It’s quite inspiring.

"does anyone remember the story about Obama written by Michelle Obama? It was some time ago, when Hillary was still in the picture. She said her and their daughters had a nickname for him and it was STINKY. Thats right! Stinky!!! She said it was because when he got up in the morning, he smelled and they wouldnt have anything to do with him until he cleaned up. How gross is that? I remember the story well because everytime I hear his name, I think............ Stinky!! Obambi = Stinky .
I guess Michelle should know the meaning....
It takes one to recognize one.
No wonder Michelle-belle is such a sour puss.

I have heard that the first thing Mrs. Quayle heard upon the birth of her daughter was her secret service detail saying “Raindrop has arrived” (Raindrop being the name assigned by the Secret Service detail).

“Once the names are publicized they are changed.”
I don’t know about that, what makes you say so ?
I always thought it was an open “secret.” Doesn’t seem like they make the effort to come up with relevant names if they were just going to have to change them.
But I speak with absolutely no first-hand knowledge.
