We cannot use the term “fudging” when referring to Obama, for several reasons.

The author states that all the polls do their weighting basically, the same. But that there is no scientific basis for it.

So all the polls would fall in line because they all weigh the same.

my understanding that Gallup’s Daily Tracker is a “registered voter” poll with no weighting of respondents.

Seems like an absurd way to conduct a poll. Without that info taken into account, it seems like it would be next to worthless.

“Obama can’t totally hide who he really is, a Chicago, thug politician.”

He doesn’t have to hide. The MSM are hiding him.

Why are none of the polls usuing the average turnout figures of 38%-35%?

Looking geographically, Obama will do very well in New England and the mid-Atlantic region. McCain is slightly ahead in Virginia and Florida, and pretty solid in all of the other southern states. Obama has thin leads in the upper midwest area such as Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The Great Plains/Rocky Mountain states are pretty solid for McCain, except for Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico. Pacific coast states are pretty solid Obama.

The election may well be decided by Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and Colorado.
