Candidate for 5th Congressional District primary
February 9, 2009 Party affiliation: Republican Date of birth: May 12, 1956
Web site: www.RosannaPulido2009.com
Occupation: Senior Citizen Advocacy
Previous political experience (elective and appointed positions): I have been a grassroots activist that has worked on issues that affect the everyday life of the people who reside here. Senior citizen advocacy and Senior transportation issues, 2ND Amendment rights issues and illegal immigration issues. I have testified before the Illinois General Assembly and in Washington DC.
My life experience of seeing problems and lobbying, writing letters and educating the public about the issues is a great start. I have cared enough to act, with my own time, my own money and my own volunteerism.
QUESTIONNAIRE
1) Would you have voted in favor of the TARP legislation approved by Congress in 2008? Do you think Congress should approve a stimulus package this year? Please assess the competing proposals from the Obama administration and Democrats and Republicans in Congress. What should be the priority in a stimulus package, if you support one?
I would not have voted for the TARP legislation. I believe it is the greatest fleecing of the American taxpayers ever in History. There is NO ACCOUNTABILITY or TRANSPARENCY, And they knew it when they gave out our money.
Has TARP been effective so far? Show me the everyday average American Citizen who has been helped. Has there been a turnaround in the housing market? That's who it was supposed to help, it has not and it is a great American atrocity, we have been lied to by both the Democrats and the Republicans in Washington DC.
