Stomp the RINOs
Woodbridge [N.J.] Township GOP - Conservative Wing ^

Posted on 05/11/2009 9:54:10 PM PDT by rabscuttle385

(slightly edited for re-posting, with edits in [square brackets])

Are you a registered Republican voter? Are you sick and tired of the same old losing and self serving ways of the regular Republican organizations? Are you sick of election loss after election loss and Republican party officers and members selling themselves and us out for their personal gain? Are you willing to support our grass roots efforts to return our government to a limited government of and for the people? Are you sick and tired of the "Republicans In Name Only" (RINOs) running our party into the ground? If you answered yes to all these questions, then [we are] the true Conservative Republican organization for you. Membership is simple:

If you BELIEVE in these Conservative principles:

I BELIEVE that the Constitution of the United States is the best political charter yet created by men for governing themselves. It is my belief that the Constitution is designed to guarantee the free exercise of the inherent rights of the individual through strictly limiting the power of government.

I BELIEVE in the Declaration of Independence, and in particular the belief that our inherent rights are endowed by the Creator. I further believe that our liberties can remain secure only if government is so limited that it cannot infringe upon those rights.

I BELIEVE that capitalism is the only economic system of our time that is compatible with political liberty. It has not only brought a higher standard of living to a greater number of people than any other economic system in the history of mankind; more important, it has been a decisive instrument in preserving freedom through maintaining private control of economic power and thus limiting the power of government.

I BELIEVE that collectivism and capitalism are incompatible, and that when government competes with capitalism, it jeopardizes the natural economic growth of our society and the well-being and freedom of the citizenry.

I BELIEVE that it is the responsibility of the individual citizen, whenever his inherent rights are threatened from within or without, to join together with other individuals to protect these rights, or, when they have been temporarily lost, to regain them.

I BELIEVE that any responsible conservative organization must conduct itself within the framework of the Constitution; in pursuance of this belief we refuse to countenance any actions which conflict in any way with the traditions of the American political system.

If you believe in these Republican principles:

I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations, and that the best government is that which governs least.

I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom & human rights throughout the world. And,

I BELIEVE the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Then, [we] will welcome your membership.

No mention of the rule of law and immigration. The GOP must address this issue, which drives or significantly affects every major existential challenge facing this nation. The GOP must support a low immigration, pro-immigrant policy or it will become irrelevant politically regardless of these aformentioned principles.

Wonderful for the Fiscal Conservatives. Not so all-encompassing for the greater number of Social Conservatives.

RINOs have become Democrates and Dems have become Obamaists-communists, motivating one to go liberal and destroy the other. It’s one cult driving another to put on a suicide bomb to blast and intimidate the rest in the name of some Politicaly Correct Corrupt pseudo-integrity pseudo-virginity pseudo-etiquette way above the means. They are the scrooges living above their own means of giving or what not false promises in the name of optimism.

In other words, Dems have run out of funds and political respect because of their spending, they want a last breath support. We see the cliff, but RINOs jump and go to it, caring no more for the philosophies but rash political expediencies, lacking complete leadership.

STAY AWAY FROM OBAMA DISEASE

All Dems care about is Powell’s political and financial wealth. We saw how Specter is now being dumped. Powell feigns to be giving and not hateful when he’s the one getting raped off of the stuff he were given by Bush Sr., and now trying to get his own mislea rape-game by attacking the conservative remnants.

It’s a runaway dragging chain to the death.

RINOs are particularly despicable in their vicious attacks surpassing in zeal the ironicaly more appologetic, stealthier and defensive status of the democrates who are now getting in hotter waters. It’s quite a dance between those two.

So Powell’s calling Rush “not nice” is pseudo-giving and hypocritical cowardice. Again, all the Dems care about is the wealth they can extract and extort out of this. After that they dump the Spectoresque liability. It’s a destructive process and they have no real message nor any real plan. It’s potemkin bubble horse hookie.

We have to focus on the message of this war waged on us and we have to eject such RINO distractions giving the media fodder for ignoring an existing counter to Obama evil policies. Let them reveal their designs and spin languages and wastes, on their own.

I’m having an extremely hard time justifying maintaining my party affiliation as Republican - thus far, over the course of the last 12 years or so, I’m not seeing much in the way of conservative principles being practiced by members of the GOP leadership.

Exactly. We need political leadership that is going to take a stand on immigration issues and not try to have it both ways. It will also involve educating the public on the impact our immigration policies have on such issues as energy independence, education, health care, taxes, jobs, environment, etc.

The sad part is that immigration can be a winning issue for Reps if they use it the right way and stop being intimidated by the Left. The public agrees with us on almost every part of the immigration problem. The only area that it is evenly divided is how to treat the 12 to 20 million illegals here. The public is against an amnesty [as defined by the proponents of it], but they are being told that the choice is between mass deportation or "an earned path to citizenship." This is a false choice.

Any legislation that legalizes the status of those who broke our laws by entering our country illegally and allows them to stay is amnesty. We must not only prevent the Democrats and some moderate Republicans from hijacking the meaning of the word amnesty, but the public must be made aware about the true impact of an amnesty. The Heritage Foundation concluded that the cost of amnesty alone would be $2.6 trillion. And the number of additional LEGAL immigrants who would join those who were the recipients of amnesty through chain migration, i.e., family reunification, would approach 70 million over a 20-year period, assuming there are only 12 million illegal aliens. We cannot assimilate such numbers. An amnesty would destroy the United States of America with the stroke of a pen.

The proponents of amnesty are wont to create the false choice between a blanket amnesty and mass deportation of 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. In reality, we have other choices and alternatives that don’t reward people who have broken our laws with the right to stay and work here and an eventual path to citizenship. The 12 to 20 million illegal aliens did not enter this country overnight and they will not leave overnight. Attrition through enforcement works. We have empirical data from Georgia, Oklahoma, and Arizona proving that it does.

I question allowing any immigrants in at this time with such high unemployment. We need jobs for Americans not foreigners and certainly not illegal aliens. As I saw on a T-shirt at a Tea Party: Ten Million jobless Americans, Twenty Million Illegal Aliens, You Figure It Out

The GOP is not going to right itself as long as the current leadership is in power. Conservatives need to get involved in the party and retake it from the liberals. Start at the local level, then take the state and national GOP. Quit waiting for a savior to come along and do it for you. Do it yourself. The time is now or never.

I agree to a point. We need a grassroots movement beginning at the local levels - we also need someone at the national level to emerge as a true conservative leader - nothing wrong with wanting both a bottom up and top down approach.
