All we know for sure is that Carly Fiorina has a busy schedule on tap.
Fiorina, the former Hewlett Packard CEO, has been exploring a bid for the U.S. Senate, and the buzz is that she will officially announce her candidacy next week to challenge Assemblyman Chuck DeVore in the Republican primary.
The Contra Costa Times reported last week that Fiorina is headed to Pleasanton on Friday, Nov. 6 to make a "very important" announcement to the Tri-Valley Business Council. Indeed, Council President and CEO Tobias Brink said yesterday that it "would be my assumption" that Fiorina is planning an official Senate launch at the Pleasanton event. Brink said his group plans to showcase high-tech start-up companies at the event, give Fiorina the floor and then have a Q&A session.
Fiorina, however, has at least three other appearances planned for next week. She is the keynote speaker on Wednesday at the 2009 International Business Leadership Awards event in San Diego. She will speak at the Sacramento Regional Housing Forecast event on Thursday in Sacramento.
And she's scheduled to appear Wednesday at Earth Friendly Products in Garden Grove, which the Orange County Business Journal yesterday called "Carly's Big Date" because it said "Fiorina is expected to announce her candidacy for Democrat Barbara Boxer's U.S. Senate seat."
Fiorina spokeswoman Beth Miller wouldn't confirm which event, if any, is the official Fiorina launch. "I don't want to ruin the surprise," Miller said.

In the Dilbert strip of February 5, 1995 Dogbert says that leadership is nature’s way of removing morons from the productive flow.
Jeez, what did this woman do other than destroy HP that qualifies her for the Senate? Her tenure was a disaster and had she had external genitalia would have been cut long long before she was.
I know going up against Boxer is likely just a sacrificial lamb, but come on guys, is this really the best Cali Republicans can put up?
I will have to see who all is running for this Senate seat. Fiorina is a RINO but would be better than that low life Barbara Boxer. This may be a case where I will have no choice but to support the RINO. AKA California politics.
Yes, HP and Lucent.
RINO ALERT!
Help destroy Lucent before that? I heard she was changing her name to Carly FioRINO.
But still better than Boxer.
Thanks guys. I will look into Chuck Devore.
Well, she could graduate into helping destroy the entire country.
Destroying HP is right- it USED TO make good products- but everything I bought from them lately is a GIGANTIC piece o’ crap.
I have a computer that has drive bays welded shut, so you cannot add a drive in the DRIVE BAYS
I had to break off a piece of the plastic front to get access to the DVD drive
The keyboard is so bad I use an old one
My HP Printer (I should have known better- they used to be THE BEST) is so big and clunky it looks as though it is going to shake itself to pieces when it runs. The image scanning is slow and horrible to the point of being UNUSABLE (especially on photos) and the printing has lines through everything.
I will never buy another HP product
You also need to hear her position on a variety of topics; She is almost as liberal as Boxer.
Fiorina? “Challenge” Devore? HAHAHAHA, Fail.
Ah, the glories of affirmative action. Fiorino, who might have been a capable assistant accountant, got promoted far above her abilities so that some men could feel good about themselves and also satisfy the “diversity” enforcers. Now most of the Senators from the West Coast are incompetent, leftist women and Carly may be the next..
She also destroyed Lucent Technologies, a.k.a the late great Bell Laboratories.
If elected, would she take the same path as the two from Maine?
