I hope he makes it! We need more vets under the Capital dome.
Plus we cigar-smoking ex-military have to stick together! ;-)
Amen to that...
Semper Fi, Gunny
Semper Fi my friend! (From ex-squid) ;-)
we need REAL MEN in d.c. metrosexual, arugula eating, girly men need no longer apply.
we need REAL WOMEN in d.c. man hating, pant suit wearing, feminazis need no longer apply.
i wish i could vote for a cigar chomping ass kicking former marine. instead i get people like evan bayh, dick luger, and brad ellsworth. oooof.
I’ve got family that served in every branch—including the Coast Guard. I think of all the good folks in all the branches—as well as many good Americans who never were in the service. God bless all of us during this difficult times.
Don’t know if you were a Westpac sailor—spent my fair share of time in Olongapo—you probably didn’t see me-I mostly stayed on base and went to Bible study or the hobby shop at night....
; )
Semper Fi.
Hey fellow Red Devil—or should I say FRed Devil?
Happy belated Marine Corps birthday and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Are you a Red Devil? VMFA-232 Type?
This district is 21% white and over 50% Hispanic. I’m sure Popadich is a great guy, but these are not good odds. He should have picked a more competitive district, even if it meant vying for a neighboring Congressional district. Being a carpetbagger is fine if you’ve got an inspiring life story. And that he’s got in spades.
that looks suspiciously like john boehner?
My Dad - Korea I think.
I spent 4 years on the West Coast, 4 years on the east, and 8 years in Europe. I had a lot of fun even though it was hard working in below zero temps but somebody had to do it. My sons are in the Army and my brother is a Commander in the Navy, he’s an XO in Millington Tn. My sons have seen their share of action and I suspect they’ll be going to Afghanistan next year. I’m proud of them.
Sempre Fi!
cooool. but DUDE, your dad looks like john boehner! wow!
i have a whole bunch of great military types in my tree, clear back to the revolution. my dad spent a couple of months at cam rahn bay in vietnam in ‘65. he was with the big red one and got shipped back home before they went into the real sh!t. my older bro. was an m.p. walking the wall in berlin in the 80’s. my younger bro. spent time in germany. hubbymayhem was with the big red one, spent time in germany and haiti. my grandpa was an m.p. in wwII in france. i now have a nephew serving on the uss enterprise. but i don’t have any cigar chomping marines to vote for.
