In the Corps 1978-1986. Five of those (’79-84) were with 232. 3 Westpac tours.

Sweet—I was a Phantom Phixer myself- J models, “Super Js, and S models-they got Hornets maybe 4-5 years after I left.
Stayed in the field after my 8 years—did lots of USN, USMC and Air Force pahtom work then, among many other aircraft types
We stayed in those type tents when we were in Yechon—Iwakuni was Quonset huts—what could be less comfortable? here ya go ! They are supposed to be 8 man squad tents per the nomenclature—we had 14 guys in ours (enlisted) the officers had 4 per tent—except the CO/XO tent was just them

Forgot to mention —Yechon is in Korea—10 km from the middle of nowhere. Went there a few times....
